http://www.gamespot.com/shows/the-point/ <- VIDEO!
Activision and bungie are taking advantage of the player base to make money... I knew this game was nothing more than a gambling simulator;Put your ego aside and watch this video subjectively.
It's truly sad to see the gaming industry of triple AAA games stoop this low and Bungie and Activision have started it.
By pushing the teen rating they made this even more effective as kids get addicted easily to this shitty game; you could call it business or you could also call it scamming.
I also know this thread will get washed away with succession of nerf and other pointless threads but you gotta try I guess.
Edit: Credit to the other guy who found this in another thread forgot his name though : /

Necrobump.... For the people!

Coming to a Iphone near you. Destiny Crush. =D
-
Ha. Clearly, you've never seen a Nexon game. Or an iPhone game. Destiny is nothing compared to those in terms of greed.
-
Gambling is fun though!
-
Candy crush. That is all
-
Borderlands was RNG too, it was just able to be farmed more than 3 times a week. I enjoyed the hell out of that, and I'll do the same here
-
4th time video has been posted today. Some ones an attention whoring bandwagon scrub. Nothing new to see here. Game drops loot. Welcome to gaming this has been around just about forever.
-
Lmao. This is what gaming is. Every successful game ever made does the same thing. Where you been hiding?
-
I think you mean to say "Watch the video objectively". ...and the video is correct.

Do feel like one of the cool kids now that you've posted about the trendy topic of the week? Do you feel like you fit in more now? Do you feel edgy? Hip? Do you feel like you stand out as a forum user? Have you garnished all of the attention you so desperately seek? Has your entire life just been validated by this post and the comments contained herein? Do you feel like you've just had a major breakthrough in your life and have discovered something that will change the course of gaming forever? I truly hope so. Everybody needs to feel special every now and then. If only for a brief moment.

Realised this the 2nd week of playing. Its kiddie casino. Bad gambling addicts are playing nonstop every day.
-
Carrot and stick. Nothing new, move on.

You are late to the party, we have been aware of these practices since mmos' have existed

Just like GOAT SIMULATOR
-
Lol...gambling simulator. I find it funny anyone has a problem with this at this point. Why? Because this type of loot system has been used in games for 10-15 years. In fact, in vanilla WoW, and a few expansions that followed, it was way way harder to get what you wanted than it is in destiny. People would farm for literally months and months for one piece of gear they wanted. If you want to try to compare that to gjallarhorn, its not even close. Why? Because unlike gjallarhorn, the piece of gear you got would become completely obsolete in the next expansion. So once again...don't see what the big deal is. If anything exotics drop way to frequently.

So you took this from a thread with a similar topic and felt you had to make another thread with the same topic? You couldn't just bump that thread?
-
A Buisness to make money? No way dude, since when did that happen? You are part of the problem in this community, a cancerous cell.
-
So? All you Illuminati nerds need to chill out. Play it if you like it. If not, take your Dan Brown conspiracy and play a game that isn't brainwashing you. Otherwise grab a controller, put on your tinfoil hat, and kill some bad guys.

do i need to step in

Edited by Slapdash_ID: 7/6/2015 1:04:28 AMI said it in the other thread so I'll say it here too. This is nothing more than Danny cashing in on the trendy thing in gaming news, i.e. trashing Destiny. If he wanted to make a point about Skinner box mechanics in games there have been plenty of other games using the same mechanics for profit and yet not one time were they "called out". This is nothing but gamespot looking to make some cash off the click through rate of people looking for an echo chamber for their opinion, which ironically exploits the exact same risk/reward scenario as a Skinner Box.

Gambling addiction: Bankrupt yourself, lose your house, your family possibly go to jail for theft/fraud to fund your habit. Destiny addiction: Moderate financial outlay, Repetitive strain injury, probably get a bit fat. Yes, Destiny's developers want you to keep playing. They have a behaviouralist who helps with design. Any addiction is bad, and spending too much time playing video games is bad. But with a Destiny addiction I don't have to spend money on other games. Destiny, expensive though it may be, is saving me money.

The first time I saw this video posted the OP was legitimately sharing it in a genuine and subjective way. You are trying to use it to claim it as fact, something that you have known all along that applies to every person that still plays Destiny, while making implications and making further comments to replies on your thread that are insulting and completely asinine. In short, I think you are a sad little prick (not because my opinions differ) because when your opinions differ you attack anyone who disagrees with insults like.....well, just like a sad little prick would do. Btw, I think you should look up the meaning of subjectively as I don't think you understand the meaning of the word. Objectively is what I'm sure you meant to say at the beginning of your OP.
