I consider Ms. Parks and Dr. King to be people of character who lived by their principles throughout their entire lives. President (Elect, depending on the time) Obama is still (for me) a politician who has an opportunity to be considered along with those two pioneers, but he has to show the "content of his character and not just the color of his skin" to paraphrase and quote the good Reverend. Don't assume that because people don't share your awe that they are hicks or ignorant. This is a political topic, and now is locked. A sense of humor might have saved it.
