Your argument doesn't hold water for a few reasons obviously because Bungie as a studio is making the maps (which you contend Microsoft is under sole control of), and because they allow the unjust practice to continue obviously because they continually make the maps (let's not forget the "new game," Halo 3: Recon, that will be a downloadable addition on Halo 3). Therefore, if they aren't going to make the maps for FREE, then they are pedalers for an unjust practice (whether intentional or not is not clear to either of us - for instance, are they getting any money from the sales of the downloadable content? why do they continue to make additions if they make no capital?). So whether they make complete direct profit off them is unclear. Unless you are a direct spokesman for the contractual agreement between Microsoft and Bungie - in which case, yes, tell me it is absurd conclusion to say that Bungie is making money off the continual downloaded content of Bungie's trademarked intellectual property - a few Halo 3 picture packs, Halo 3 backgrounds, Halo CE game download, Heroic Map Pack, Legendary Map Pack, and (eventually) Mythic Map Pack. Are you saying they don't make any money off of these items? That's absurd. Whether or not the pricing is made by Microsoft is of little consequence when you consider that it is Bungie's creation and they are VERY LIKELY on the take from having it marketed in such a manner. Likely, Bungie gets a certain amount of the estimated profits, or a direct percentage of the profits, that will justify the amount of man-hours that went into creating the maps (plus a little extra), what Microsoft thinks is "reasonable" to Bungie, and what Microsoft "can get for 'em" from the public (e.g. a very sizable profit since higher demand means a higher price tag). Mix all this together and you have a great sh1t sandwich that we fans will have to bite - likely because they have made it impossible to get the full experience from the game without the downloadable content (READ: they very well could have held some of the maps back and planned for them to be downloadable just to make a profit off them - maybe Microsoft told them to do it, whatever the case Bungie has sold their soul for "thirty pieces of silver." They aren't artists anymore, they are a$$clowns waiting for their next paycheck. Whether or not they they are "pawns" of Microsoft or not remains to be seen, which will certainly be debated the next time Bungie gets up from bed and argues their cut for whoring out their intellectual property on another game. I'm old school, I've been around since the beginning. Halo CE was the first game I got for Xbox and I used to play it for hours upon hours because it was just so fun to play. I loved every minute of it I really did, and I look at all this cr4p with Halo 3 and how they are marketing themselves and I think what happened? Do they really think we are stupid enough not to see how shady they've become? That we won't notice the sly moves that they are putting on the public to continually "bait and switch" them into buying more of their merchandise? Where did your integrity go, Bungie Studios? Just because we like your game doesn't mean you should pull money out of us at every occasion. Just because you [i] can [/i] do something doesn't mean you [i] should [/i]. They are behaving like any business trying to maximize profits and have lost their artistic integrity in the undying quest for the almighty dollar. Nice update. The way you talked about Halo 3 : ODST reminds me of the way Frankie used to talk about Halo 3 during development, I enjoyed those days.

You [u]REMOVED[/u] the Brute Pimp? NO! You have to add it as an Easter Egg in the final version of the game. Something like the talking grunt on the last mission of Halo 3. Like, there's an Egg store and it has easter egg advertisement outside and if you go inside there on the toilet there'll be the Pimp Brute and if he sees you he'll shout random stuff Pimps would say and if he gets a chance he'll show you who your daddy is. Update. Ever. Soooo much content. I couldn't stop laughing when I heard about the weapon load out glitch.

I dreamed last night that I played ODST. It was like a super-cool stealth Halo thing with a forearm mounted silenced double barrel BR (I know it's not going to happen, it was a dream, what did you expect?). I was supposed to take down a group of teenage prophets, but the aim assist was removed from the game, so instead I just got stomped by an unruly group of alien kids and their brute body guard. I did get one of them before dying though. Double head-shot. It was awesome, though in retrospect, I'm not sure what I think about killing the children of my enemy. Shame on you Bungie of my dreams, you should know better.

OK, I don't laugh very much. Bu that, [i][b]that[/b][/i] was hilarious. The part about the Brute pimps made me laugh so hard that I was literally crying, and could hardly read about the achievements. Thank you, Bungie. this has made my day. PS. I demand that a video of the brute pimps be released before the release of the game. If I see no progress upon this request one week before release, I will personally attempt to mass message everyone that works at Bungie and uses the forums.
