The VIP rewards are for year 1 players. That doesn't mean 2014. That means the first full length year after Destiny's launch. Anyone who gets to level 30 or both recent expansions will receive these rewards until the August-September deadline. These items are not for just Day 1 players like you and I but for everyone who held on during the rough first year of Destiny. These items will show that we held on and separate us from the new players. These new players might even look to us for guidance to how the game plays and works.

I've been around since Halo 2, but I haven't played Destiny until December. Where's my reward then? This is too specific this is barely veterans if it's a single day. Also you are NOT entitled to any special treatment Bungie has just been generous in there history to people who are more dedicated
