It is my standard secondary for the Crucible, always has been. I play as a defender, and when I drop my ward I hate to leave it unless absolutely necessary. It feels like a wasted super if I abandon it. Invective, and its ammo regen makes it easier for me to wait in my ward, guarding whatever piece of terrain I have deemed to be most valuable at the time. The recent special ammo update in the Crucible makes the ammo regen all the more valuable. The ammo regen isn't enough to allow people to run with it as a primary or anything, but for use within my ward and as a backup weapon for the occasional nosy nancy who tries to get too close, it works very well for me.
