  • I read it as bungie added 50k to our donations....need to go reread that update. That's low if that's the case.

  • It also cost money to design, produce, ship, and handle the shirts and supporr. But 950k on all of those seems a little unreasonably.

  • That is part of the overhead, read their business model Bungie profited hard from this

  • Read the update about it They got just over a million from players Bungie threw 50k Activision (a billion dollar company) matched them and threw 50k

  • I think you live in another world. $100k is a massive boost to an already huge donation and it shouldn't be mocked. The Bungie Foundation doesn't exist solely to fund Nepal disaster relief. Also, how many other games communities under Activision's umbrella pulled together to make a donation - do you know? Were they giving 50k towards each game community's fund-raising effort? I don't know, but I think it would be short sighted to assume that we were the only one of their sub communities that pulled together to raise funds.

  • In any manner, you may be right, but also irrelevant. it's 10% of what they asked of us, whether they got 100 dollars or 1 000 000 dollars, it's still a pretty low comparison. Most companies match dollar for dollar, hell even Wal Mart does that, and you know how Wal Mart works. Not to mention, again Activision is a billion dollar group at this point and donating something like 50k (enough to pay for 1 student's university) is actually not that much when comparing to rebuilding a country devastated, especially when "Overhead" is considered

  • So my point that you have no idea how much Activision donated in total is irrelevant? When you are basing your entire position off a number that you don't know is representative or not. How can you judge them without the full facts? Oh that's right, you can't. You're just viewing a tiny fragment of reality without any sort of big picture. Irrelevant, my arse. You just want to stir.
