I was thinking of this idea where a Gold Enemy can randomly spawn in Destiny alongside other normal enemies.
[u]They would be like this:[/u]
- Very rare spawn
- Can appear during any PVE activity
- Very high HP, tough to kill
- Deals high damage
- Shines bright Gold
- If killed, they drop good loot, maybe an exotic engram (or legendary).
[b]Imagine you're on patrol in venus, you drive past a bunch of Fallen like usual, then you see another group of fallen but you spot a Gold Fallen Vandal in the middle.
You try your best to kill it and maybe other players nearby come to help, then after a lot of effort, you kill it and you see a Gold, Exotic engram drop.[/b]

What do you guys think of this idea? Maybe the loot could be better, maybe a whole set of legendary gold gear and weapons can be found from killing these enemies? Tell me your thoughts.

Yea but have the spawn rate be a 10% or lower chance and a long cool down on the respawn timer.

Start up VoG and grind venus 6 man and that thing don't stand a chance

The spawn rate needs to be 1:8192 to run into a wild shiny mob.

I like it but I don't want it to have a guarantee drop, maybe a higher drop rate for the person who did the most damage?

In game already they are the wolves now and before that they were the blades of crota and before that it was Randall

So you mean, a "kill an enemy" public event? Like the Eris quest that gives you the gauntlets at the end? He's super tough if you're on your own, lots of health and the shield comes back really quick if you don't DPS him a lot.

Tell me your thoughts.[/quote] Great idea kinda like phantasy star online were in the rare occasion a rare version of an enemy would appear.. Remembering the rare verson of the giant trolls on forest used to scare me and also the lilly.. They could guarantee a dropped legendary if u ran into one i wish they had this feature in Destiny would be great

I'd be ok with it but they shouldn't drop exotics. Legendary engrams and other items (motes, coins, buff items (new)) would be good for world bosses. They need to be oversized too lol

No because the low level Skrubs would get free exotics for just hitting the target..

Idk about exotic engrams because if a heavy one dropped thats a 25% chance of a gjallarhorn and thats too easy. People would farm and farm and it would break destiny.

You mean like VIP events? Sadly barely anyone even cares for those. However a special sub-boss enemy (Like in PoE) roaming the areas would be more fun. One on every planet, each dropping one piece of armour for a full set. Each piece has something that boosts damage against some other race, making it a rare and useful set. Kind of like a raidless raid-gear.
