Faction Emblem gain Reputation for Faction instead of Class Item (Cloak, Bond or Mark) or allow Factions Class Items to change color with Shaders

Keep Class Item as the drive behind Faction Rep

I am a Hunter and this is based on my experience with my Hunter. So if you are a Titan or Warlock, I am not sure if this would apply all too much but anyway... There are some really amazing Hunter Cloaks out there (Example VoG Cloak, Ghost Angel Cloak, etc.), that are just sitting in Class Item sections or the Vault collecting dust because people (like myself) are trying get specific Faction Shaders, Ships etc. My wish would be that the faction emblem be the drive behind the reputation gain so you can wear any cloak (bond or mark) from any raid, faction or other to make you character truly unique to your liking. The Emblem is what people see first anyway and I feel it is not really being utilized like it should be. So I have created this small poll to see what other people might have to say about it.

Simply select a faction. I want to have my loadout and characters look how i want, i want my emblems to show ToO flawless and Skolas has been buried by my hands. But i want to choose my own titan mark that looks good with the shader i have, or my hunter cloak from iron banner brcause that thing is awesome. While still pursuing the coveted dead orbit shaders. They need to set factions where you have to complete some weekly mission/task to continue to prove loyalty to gain their faction rep for the week.

  • I like this idea, especially with the new variks class items. I want to wear them but can't if I want to rank up a faction

Bump. I'd like to be able to equip different class items such as the raid or speaker class items while earning faction rep. I vote for the faction emblem for earning rep.

  • Either make it for ships, or make some ghost shells for them. Since both are equally as pointless.

      • What about costume slots Put the faction class item in the normal class item slot And any cloak/bond/mark of your choosing to go in the costume slot, so the faction class item isnt displayed
