I believe that the Taken King is on disc right now-well a majority it.
This could tell us what we could be expecting from Bungie in the future.
My first suggestion based of the fact that there is a knight called 'Celebrant of Oryx' present outside of Rasputin's bunker. This implies that one mission or strike may be at Rasputin's bunker. This isn't supposed to take part in the Dark Below's mission of defending Rasputin as the Celebrant of Oryx isn't there during the mission.
Secondly, the pre-game trailers show an area that we haven't seen yet in the Destiny world. This is a hive area with a brownish tone. The room is filled with thralls and Ogres. This may be present on disc as it matches with other things we've seen in trailers: the reef. Could this be the new area where we silence the father of Crota?
Thoughts? Put them in the comments below.
Edit- this isn't a rant about the content locked away on disc. I'm entirely supportive of Bungie with their game.
Edit- I have had no intentions to show any negativity to Bungie in anyway so I changed this post from the Taken King being on disc to what we can expect from this content.

I still have yet to see where most of the new content was on disk. Yes most if not all the story areas were there. But with the updates that came out some 5+ gigs of data. Come on fellas, the entire DLCs were not completely disk locked content. And now to say the first major expansion is on disk, other then not being supported by any previous data mining, it pretty ridiculous, aliens are in my brain, conspiracy garbage.

Parts of it could be on disc (place holders) and they may be adding parts of the DLCs as they go in updates, basically all you get when buying DLC is an activation code

So because there is an enemy named "Celebrant of Oryx" and the Taken King's boss is Oryx that means we already have the content? Wow you're a Fu€king genius!

I think the Celebrant of Oryx was tied to TDB story line. I could see the arguments for TDB and some of HoW being on disc, but I seriously doubt they programmed their first large expansion completely before the game even released. Maybe a few locked off areas, but certainly not the entire thing.

I think you may be correct about the areas being coded in already.

Its gonna be on a fresh disc
