Seeing how the poll has presented the same option twice I did not take it seriously, so I presented a joke in lieu of an honest answer. To present an answer that would A) take this post seriously and B) be respectful to both you (which you have not) and to the original poster I will continue. I believe that the Thorn should have reduced damage and range. As it is now the weapon is deadly at the close to medium range and is a serious threat at long range if the person firing it has decent aim. This is merely my own observation unsupported by any data or fact.

Choices: [Buff all classes of weapons and exotics individually to bring them in line with a ridiculously stupid and fast TTK] or [Nerf the handful of weapons that are overperforming, bringing them in line with literally everything else and increasing TTK.] The second choice is significantly better.

The problem with the Thorn is that it is too efficient, the Time To Kill that you mention is the biggest advantage of this weapon. I believe that with changes to the weapon's damage and range (perhaps even making the weapon fire slower) would help to reduce the TTK of the Thorn and encourage weapon diversification.

The general population of this game has no idea what they're talking about. They all think TLW is fine as is, despite not functioning as intended. They all think Thorn is balanced, even though aggressive ballistics makes it a two shot kill and grants the weapon significantly more damage than any other hand cannon in its RoF class, nearly enough extra damage to bump it down a RoF tier and then it gets burn damage on top of that. I've been saying Thorn needs nerfed for nearly 5 months or something. The gun is too strong and I'm utterly disappointed that Bungie has yet to do anything about it.

The Thron is too efficient as is evident at it's ridiculously fast TTK. People want an edge over the other person in competition and so will want to have a weapon they believe is superior so it's little wonder why everyone is using it. I would like to see Bungie change the Thorn by reducing the damage. The argument that they used to nerf the auto rifles and buff the pulse rifles can be cited here for the nerfing of the Thorn. I believe that Bungie will get around to nerfing the Thorn but I also believe that it will be done later rather than sooner.
