We go to hell for not worshiping God. Sounds similar to a dictator throwing people in prison for not following him. I want to believe in God, but it doesn't seem like he truly loves us.
English
-
I'm pretty sure the current teaching is that god loved us much that he created a place where he is not there so that if a soul spends a lifetime rejecting him, even if he wants them in heaven, that soul has the opportunity to go somewhere where there is no influence from god at all
-
Or something along those lines
-
You wouldn't go to Hell for not worshiping God. You would be sent to purgatory.
-
Purgatory doesn't exist.
-
Theoretically then
-
There's no theory, no basis, and no scripture. Purgatory doesn't exist.
-
He doesn't want to send us to Hell, but we literally can't live with Him as our sinful selves.

Please. This just makes me sad. You were probably raised a Christian and have not come to the logic that your book was created by people under a false god. Please stop being ignorant and think about it for yourself, without any bias. There is no such thing is sin. You do not get punished for sin. There is only good and bad. Please stop.

If you're going to try to change my mind, come up with more solid reasoning than that please.
-
His reasoning isn't even any actual reasoning. Sin exists, and it is present within every individual since it is what every individual commits.
-
I am not trying to convince you of anything. I am asking you to think for yourself. You were probably brought up in Christianity and you probably have never questioned it to this day. Do that now. Think for yourself.
-
What is wrong with thinking as a Christian?
-
I have always questioned what I believe (Christianity) but all the research I have done only strengthens what I believe. Atheist believe a lot by FAITH. They just have a problem admitting it.
-
No sir I think it's the other way. Christians have faith in a supposed God, while atheists simply disprove of a god.
-
You disprove of God because He is not tangible. Correct?
-
Perhaps
-
I have done that. Have you ever studied Bible prophesy? There's far too much accuracy for it to be a coincidence. How do you think the first cells formed? Scientists still can't figure it out. They've come up with many hypotheses which have mostly been, honestly, fairly desperate. I'm not saying this means God must exist, but between these facts and the testimonies of some people, it's not as stupid as you think to be a Christian.
-
Desperate? Says the Christian
-
There's more evidence for Christianity's legitimacy than you clearly think.
-
There's also more evidence for the Ancient Alien Theory. Your argument is invalid
-
That doesn't invalidate anything.
-
It invalidates more than you know

He doesn't send people to h**l he invites them to heaven people say no to that invite so he can't protect them from h**l so that's why
