Really important question!
What kind of an object is an auto rifle? I saw someone kill me with a Suros in crucible and thought it was a long hand cannon... but when I looked it up, it was an auto rifle!!! It seems so unheard of! Who uses those anymore? They're so archaic and useless! It sounds like something my grand pappy would have.
