This also ushers the new ara of brutes, and elite character module for multiplayer game play. Maybe if they did ever think of making a game entitled: Master Chief, it would be a game about his past before halo: CE and what happened after halo 3. This is only my opinion though. Nice update it does sound allot better though because i think a year later when people forget about halo 3: RECON and t comes out and the trailers show "recon" and "halo 3" in the title they would think: LOLZ I CAN HAZ RECON NOWZ!!!! They buy the disk, and are dissapointed that they don't get recon! So my point again is, NICE UPDATE ODST SOUNDS ALLOT BETER!

Aw, Helljumpers would have been great! I am not going to kiss up to you Bungie. I'm going to be as fair as possible. In my opinion, ODST is a fine title. It reflects the content of the game ....apparently. We just got too used to "recon"..so some are kinda bitter about it.

Hmm, I wonder what the reason behind the name change is. I mean you get all this stuff out on the internet and media with the name Halo 3: Recon, and then you have to turn around and change it all. Must be some good reason. "ohdst"

I really thought the name Recon was both catchy and fitting... first off, it's obviously popular throughout the Halo series, and second, H3 ODST looks like a stealth game, let alone the title 'Reconnaisance'

Name change? Well, that's pointless! Seriously...the new name makes more sense in a way, but it's not really better seeing as it's too later to change the name. Couldn't you have just thought this over harder before you named it something TOTALLY RANDOM (other than that you can get "Recon" from it)? If you absolutely have to change the subtitle...[i]Prepare to Drop[/i], or [i]Shock Troopers[/i], or something that sounds better and doesn't make everything so obvious. Imagine actually using your mouth to say that to your friends: "Hay-low Three Oh-Dee-Ess-Tee", or "Hay-low Three Expansion Pack" or something. [i]Recon[/i] is much easier to identify and actually pronounce. Some one else even recommended [i]Helljumper[/i], and that's the best I've heard. BUNGIE FAIL.
