• Scary, I actually know what all those guns are. Anyways, I've fired: [*]Desert Eagle .50cal [*]Barret M82 .50cal [*]SPAS-12 [*]USP .45 cal [*]Mauser Kar98 (genuine Wermacht issue) ---- All except the K98 are my uncle's... the Kar was brought back from WWII by my grandfather.
I know this is going to sound funny but me and my sister both want to get a 50. cal and when I say 50. cal I don't mean black powder. P.S. thats awsome and pretty rare that you got to shoot a 50. cal.

 • i've fired quite a few in my day, my overall favorite gun is probably the .357 magnum. But if you ever get the chance you should definitely fire a .308 caliber rifle, it's a beast (though not the most powerful obviously). Just last weekend i helped someone sight in his AR-15 and that was pretty cool, i didn't think it would kick very much because it was just a .223 round but it really had some nice punch to it. i got that mutha firing real nice at 100 yards. Got a few in the center ring with the open sights too at 100 yards, i was rather proud of that (the sights on the AR-15 are factory set for 300 yards). I demand good kick in any gun i fire. But yeah, those are just a few, i've fired various other handguns, shotguns, and rifles but the ones i mentioned are basically my favorites. you should go to a shooting range if you ever get the chance, it's alot of fun.

 • Dude, I live in Alaska. Guns are crazy up here. I only fired a couple because my parents hates guns, only people up here that do IMO. Can't remember what though. Bows are harder and I like them more, takes a lot more skill. My friend has like a 120lb pull bow, that -blam!- is scary.

 •
Posted by: Texas Ben
Posted by: Casey You've...shot...a...Barrett...
Yes, yes I have... Not as much kick as I thought there would be. Obliterated that watermelon too!
Yeah, I've heard that they don't kick because they have this complex spring recoil-dampening system and awesome muzzle brake that tones the recoil down to that of a 12-gague. That's why I wanna shoot it! Lol, you just reminded me of that part in Tremors 2 where the guy shoots the alien with a Barrett and vaporizes it, punches a hole through a foot of cinder block, sheets of steel, wood, and brick, and then rams it right through the engine of his car. Those things can penetrate an engine block. That's insane.

 •
Posted by: Texas Ben
Posted by: Casey I have! If you haven't ever gone shooting before, you need to try to at least once in your life. If you're one of those prejudiced super-liberal "I don't want to shoot a gun because it's an intstrument designed to kill" type of sissies, then you really need to try shooting one before you judge it. Plinking around at targets is a hoot. Anyhow, I've shot-- [*]A 12-gague Benelli NovaPump (which I own) [*]12-gague Frianchi autoloader (my dad's) [*]a Reuger .22-45 pistol (my dad's) [*] A Colt .22 pistol (mine) [*]A Reuger 10-22 .22 Rifle (my dad's) [*]A Winchester .30-06 Rifle (my dad's) [*]A modified Colt M4 [*]A Chinese-made AK-47 [*]A Chinese-made SKS [*]An FN-FAL [*]A SigPro 2340 .40 Pistol [*]A Glock 36 .45 pistol [*]A Taurus .32 snubnose revolver [*]A SigSauer P228 I'm starting to get pretty good at shooting pistols now (it's hard!), and I seriously think that most of it is from playing Airsoft.
Scary, I actually know what all those guns are.
You've...shot...a...Barrett... That's so freakin' cool. If there was a gun that I've been dying to shoot, that's it. That, and an MP5. I'm actually thinking about getting a USP as soon as I turn 21 and get my concealed firearms permit. Bah, it's not scary that you know what those guns are. It just means you're a firearms nerd like me. [Edited on 3/2/2005 2:31:56 PM]
