This was a kids movie???

So it's near the end of the year and my teacher has run out of bullshit to shove down my throat so he's showing land before time (the original) I forgot how damn dark this movie is! I mean, for a kids movie, this has a lot of scary images and depressing scenes/scenery. The overall feel is scary the story deals with orphans, starvation, and the apocalypse! To put this in perspective. This would be like making a movie about a bunch of Tweens orphaned by nuclear war pursued by a serial killer canibal in a post-ww3 nuclear wasteland Also, racism Anyway, discuss. Edit: the music in this movie is quite good

 • You must remember, this was for kids who grew up before "trigger warnings", when bullying and broken bones were just a part of growing up and children were largely autonomous (no cell phones to check up on them). You think this is dark, try watching the episode of Sesame Street where Big Bird has to learn to come to terms with the death of Mr. Hooper.
