Network advice for PS Vita Remote Play with PS4

I just recently purchased a PS Vita and I’ve been using it with the PS4 to Remote Play Destiny. I really like the feature of having a handheld version of the game when I’m home and don’t feel like using the TV to play. Though I do have a problem that I’m sure everyone else does. I’m having connection issues with the PS4 and the Vita. It works pretty well at first but when I get into a Public Event or a heavy fire fight, I tend to see the symbol that indicated a possible signal loss. It happens only here and there and it’s a slight pain to rejoin the game seconds later, hoping I didn’t need to be respond or miss something. My question is: Has anyone found a good way to get the best quality out of their Vita and their network? I’ve tried connecting directly to the PS4 but I’m noticing that living in a condo there are plenty of wireless connections using 2.4 GHZ and that starts to interfere with the connection (that’s a suspicion I have). I’ve been connecting the VITA to the home network to access the PS4 and that’s been more reliable but I still have some connection issues here and there. Here’s some info on my network: * PS4 is connected to the network via ethernet (CAT 6) * The Network is wired with CAT 6 * I have an Airport Extreme as the main Wifi transmitter (5 GHZ and 2.4 GHZ). * When I use Remote Play, the VITA is two feet away from the router. The wiring of the network looks like this (all connected via CAT 6 ethernet): * PS4 ——> Splitter (Gigabit) ——> Airport Extreme (2nd) ——> Main Airport Extreme The splitter is there for a couple other devices (Mac Mini and Wii U). I’m considering removing the second Airport Extreme to remove any extra hops that exist. I’m hoping that will resolve the issue/add to the quality. I’m also going to consider any residual traffic such as other computers attempting to access the Time Machine network drive for backing up and just looking over how much bandwidth is actually going through the network throughout the day. So again, has anyone found a good way to get the best quality out of their Vita and their network?

 • It may be partly due to that Remote play is still a relatively new feature, and needs some tweaking (I would love if i could use my ps4 controller and vita just as a display, but haven't figure that out if its possible) I notice that audio eventually builds up lagg >.<
