Solution to Engram Hell- ***Read!***
I feel like Bungie wants us all to drown...
Basically, we're all maxed out with Blue Engrams by now, or we will be soon. The thing is, most of those blues will turn out to be useless. And we're stuck with no way to rank up the Cryptarch.
WHAT IF
We were able to decrypt the House of Wolves engrams. However, the gear decrypted would not be equippable until House of Wolves drops. This way we will still be able to level up our Cryptarch rep, and we'll be able to dismantle all those useless blues we receive. Then we'll actually have room in our vaults, on our characters, and on the Postmaster.
Bump if you think this would help keep Guardians from drowning (in blue engrams).
edit: Also... I don't mean to cause paranoia... but as you're dismantling all those rares, do you wonder how many of them were actually legendaries?

Played it for 4 hours and I'm already exhausted on it...same shit, different day and I only got pure garbage out of 200+ blues, 10 purples, 15 rankup-packages, 10 cryptarch-packages...I hope the Arena will be a bit more satisfying or this was my last DLC.

The real solution is to make engrams stackable in inventory up to 20, like every other item. Eg 20 blue helmet engrams, 20 blue glove engrams, etc.

the solution to the engram problem: dismantle extras when your vault and inventory fill. the rest is just too much and unneeded.

i have done enough on my characters, I have left a small amount of vault space open a couple slots in the post office, and I just make sure I have 3 open spots in my gear/weapon slots. This would mess up the game, you are not meant to be able to decrypt everything right away. You know how many legendaries people would have just because of the luck on the blues. I vote no, this is fine the way it is.

1 ReplyEither delete something to make space or stop engram farming. Don't expect Bungie to fix a problem that you made because you were too busy farming and didn't think it through I knew it would only take 1 to 2 days to fill the vault so I paced myself and did some other stuff as well as farming. I still have space and another day and I was careful to decrypt any old engrams before I just dumped them all in the vault
