I wouldn't dare trust my inventory with a third-party app. It may be very good, but I'm not even willing to try it.

The worst someone could do with your data is scramble your inventory up so its all mixed up. The best thing someone could do with your data is make gearing up in game an afterthought. We chose the later.
-
Latter. It could also delete gear. Not getting into it.

There is no way to dismantle outside of the game. Neither bnet, Destiny companion app, or DIM has a way to do that.
There is no way to dismantle outside of the game. Neither bnet, Destiny companion app, or DIM has a way to do that.
But even the destiny companion app sometimes is reported to "lose" gear during moves somehow. What protection is there against that happening with your app?
-
Same as B.net or the Companion App. I've been using it, testing it, and have moved a lot of gear through it. Haven't lost a thing. Could it happen? Sure. Is it likely? I don't think so.

Agreed!

I don't even trust the one Bungie has us using. I take the time to make sure my load outs are good to go, the only thing I do flop around are mats as needed.
-
I've been using it regularly for months and haven't lost anything. I'm not even careful about the times that I swap equipment out (i.e. loading screens). If you're still concerned about losing stuff, at least install it so you can see what's on all your characters, vault, and postmaster, all at the same time.
-
Haha, Loading screens are the only times I use the app. The only thing that pops up is, "you cannot equip this item unless you are in the tower or orbit." Which then just puts it into your inventory. I'm pretty sure thats a bungie limitation btw.

I don't do loading screens. But yea, I use the shit outta this app
