This is a script for the firefox extension, Greasemonkey. If you do not have firefox, then get it. If you do not have Greasemonkey, then you can get it here.
Now the time has come for the best script you have ever seen.
Bungie Who's Online will tell you who is online, and who is not. The only drawback is that it will only pull info from the users that have the script, but it's still a nice script to have nonetheless.
For those of you who do not wish to be displayed as online, there will be an update which has that option for you.
First, a preview of what it does to your post
Second, the tutorial.
1. You can hover over the status image in the link above and it will say is online/offline as well.
2. You can click the status image, and it will show a popup of epic proportions.
3. Colors: Blue = Online, Gray = Offline, No Bar = No script.
Third, it works because of an external server I have setup. You send the current time to my server, and also get the list of users and dates every time you view a thread.
Lastly, the download.
Version 1.4: Download
Update: Mibbit sucks, for chat, please use this until the next update comes out in the next few minutes.
If a popup will not show up when you click the status images, enable popups for bungie.net by clicking a little notice on the bottom right of firefox.

Great work Sprool you did an excellent job on the fix, hopefully a good amount have downloaded the updated script and will frequent the chat quite often. p.s. you should remove the older versions from the OP.
-
Now I can work on other stoof.

do you feel that..somethings coming...something big..

I'm glad that the chat is in a new window now. Much more efficient.
Posted by: REVERENC333 Everything is working fine for me, only thing is, if the chat is meant to be a constant pop up, every time I change the page it refreshes.
Yes, your right and we're aware of the issue. I've been working closely with Sprool on this next Whose Online script update and we've tested it out on several occasions. We know what the bugs are and he is working hard on sorting them out as quickly as possible. Once the script has been reformatted it will work so that when you click the tab under the users avatar to go to the chat, the chat room will open up in a completely new window rather than the "sticky pop-up" that you see now. This way the chat room will have it's own "tab" or "window" from which to work from and you can continue to serf B.net without a hitch. [Edited on 10.17.2008 2:00 PM PDT]

I did a little research on my problem. Connecting... Logging in... -irc.bungie.org- *** Looking up your hostname... -irc.bungie.org- *** Couldn't resolve your hostname; using your IP address instead That's the message I get. I tried connected a few times, and I get this message: _____________- Connecting... Logging in... Error : Closing Link: [74.53.163.162] (Throttled: Reconnecting too fast) -Email ibo@bungie.org for more information. Disconnected from irc.bungie.org Apparently, from what I've read, it's just a connection thing, and my computer can't hook up to it or something. Either way, I'm told there's nothing I can do about it. Dam IRCs causing me problems unlike any other chat...

The chat is working now but I don't know how to get into a channel :( Plus, it is a very annoying pop-up. [Edited on 10.17.2008 12:05 PM PDT]

Take the Beta down for now until it's fixed, it doesn't direct you to the proper page.

I think if this script is not working as planned, I will temporarily delay updates fro this script, until my secret project is finished. The previous version will still be up for download.

Thanks for the help guys, I guess it was a basic question but I just installed FF today. Thanks again.
Posted by: burritosenior Now it works. I can't use it though. For some reason, these kind of chats always give me the message 'unable to resolve your hostname. resolving to use your IP address instead'. Then I can't get into the chat. I'm just technologically inept. I've talked to people and nobody can think of a solution to this, but if anyone here knows feel free to tell me. I'm just dumb when it comes to this stuff. Sorry for the trouble there Sprool. I'll be back in a few hours :).
oooh......the terror! oh noes.... it's k, I'm laughing as well as frustrated. [Edited on 10.17.2008 9:23 AM PDT]
