You've seen the nerf posts (I've made a few), now it's time for some buff posts. There are a number of exotic weapons that just don't feel "exotic". They either have useless perks or just don't perform anything worthy of an exotic. Here's a few ideas to buff a few of these non-exotics: [i]SGA: A HMG with average impact and ROF with terrible range and stability? Why wouldn't I want to use it... Especially considering all the shots missed (and you'll miss most of them) will be returned to the clip![/i] [b]BUFF: Increase the impact by a mega ton. Make this weapon hit like a truck.... riding a star cruiser. Give it almost max impact and if necessary take back that small stability buff they gave it. This weapon will become the ultimate risk/reward gun. Hyper inaccurate, fires forever and when it actually does land a round or two... DEAD.[/b] [i]NLB: Primary sniper rifle. Lets face it; this is a PvP weapon... that doesn't really perform in PvP that well. It has the most useless exotic perk ever created. And that reload/ cock time... :O[/i] [b]BUFF: new The Master - Precision kills with this weapon greatly increase reload/ cock time and greatly increase the damage of the next shot for a short time. [So essentially you head shot someone, then get a free body shot kill for the next few seconds][/b] [i]Truth: Yes, this weapon isn't necessarily bad; but it isn't exotic. Face it; this thing has slightly better than basic tracking for an "exotic" perk and has proximity damage. Big woop. Exotics are supposed to feel unique and interesting. Truth just isn't.[/i] [b]BUFF: New Prototype Truthseeker - Rounds shot from this rocket launcher aggressively track targets. Advanced tracking allows rockets fired from this weapon to avoid obstacles and predict enemy movements to find alternate paths to it's target. [Basically it will avoid most obstacles and will be able to effectively turn corners. Balanced with auto detonation after a certain amount of time?][/b] [i]Necrochasm: The "new vex". Vex was a unique weapon with nothing else in the game looking or behaving anything like it. This is a weapon that looks exactly like 3 other guns; re-skinned.[/i] [b]BUFF: Increase the impact by a bit and replace cascade with feeding frenzy. Either increase the blast radius SIGNFICANTLY or increase it by a decent amount and make it occur on kill, not just on precision kill.[/b] [i]Hard light: Looks cool. Sounds amazing. Meh performance. This gun needs something else. We've got other guns that over penetrate and others that have bouncy bullets.[/i] [b]BUFF: Not quite sure on this one. You read the grimoire for this weapon and imagine something COMPLETELY different to anything else ever made. It's a bunch of other guns stuffed together tbh. Here's a few possible additions: -Arc damage -Shots penetrate completely through the first object they hit (go through most walls) -slight tracking on shots[/b] [i]Dragons breath: A rocket launcher that... wait for it... WAIT FOR IT.... leaves a basic warlock solar grenade after detonation. May as well use a better rocket launcher and my sunsinger?[/i] [b]BUFF: Increase the duration of the solar flare and make that thing big. I mean really big. I want it almost as big as the blast radius![/b] Comment on what you think of the ideas. Spot on, too much, not enough? What ever you think. Suggest some more buffs or different buffs or maybe suggest some other weapons that just aren't exotic enough.
