I can't wait to see where this goes. This year is going to be amazing. Halo Wars. Recon. Halo Chronicles (hopefully). Plus I would assume the mythic map pack will come out soon. Either way, the trailer was amazing. Once again, the music makes the scene. Marty O'Donnell pulls it off again.

Yea it looks cool just like all the halo games, but i kind of wish they would have deviated from Halo plot a little more. Like come up with a completely new background and story. Theres nothing wrong with Halo itself, its just that ive been playing it for what feels like forever.

To be honest, I'm disappointed in one sense. The trailer and the news surrounding it made it out to be a brand new, groundbreaking news piece for Halo 3 players. Turns out it's just reiterating something that we knew was in the works since a few months ago. Aside from the trickery, it's always nice to see Bungie's making a new game. I'll sure as heck be checking it out. Nobody makes shooters like Bungie.

I think I'm in love... Nice new art direction too! Though I sure hope there will be more squad-based fighting than the trailer implies. (Meet up with other ODSTs? I'm thinking 4, or 8 if you want to beat Resistance 2 big time, player co-op!)

Regarding the Spartan 1 thing, if you guys watched inside xbox, they said you "play as an ODST." Also, regarding the gun he has,l that looks to me like a silenced smg with some kind of special sight on it. It looks like a special forces weapon, not outdated, more like advanced. And another thing, if you look very closely, on the screen as the camera is scanning around everywhere, it says the year is 2552 which is exactly when the halo 3 campaign takes place. Therefore this must be a side story to the action of Master Chief. Just a thought...
