Sorry man but I doubt it, they have already said many reasons why they won't put in matchmaking and there reasons make sense.

  • I think it's more of a question of when/how rather than if As their stats showed it was what only 15-19% of players doing the raids? The creators want the player base to experience what they created There are definitely questions of how you make it possible with the realities of randoms communicating (or lack there of) The match made raids could be more akin to 6 man strikes with lesser rewards and the harder raids could be pre made groups only The point is casual players should have an avenue to 6 player content because it's fun Just have it require less communication like strikes and lesser rewards

  • But then it's not a raid. Raids are supposed to be the hardest mission requiring 6 people, skill, communication, time and effort. If they make it easy and doesn't require communication so that 6 people can get put together to beat it, it won't be challenging or fun. I sure hope that's not where raids are going. Btw there are many different ways to easily and quickly get a raid group at any time. From websites to forums to apps, people can't say that they need matchmaking, just go online, send a few messages, group up, use the mic the ps4 or xbox provide with the console, talk have fun and beat the raid.

  • Isn't that just 3rd party matchmaking? It can be done it's just a question of how and what filters Bungie requires before you can join through matchmaking Level requirements? No blue items? Maxed weapons? Auto join fire team chat? Complete the raid once with a premise group? More visual queues in the raid environment to lower the need for voice communication? It can be done

  • BTW it is a 3rd party matchmaking, but the people that take the time to get a group together tend to be more dedicated and have mic. Worst case scenario, the fireteam leader doesn't accept or boots anyone for being afk, rude, trolling or unskilled and causing the team to fail

  • So having a clear leader is what allows randoms to work properly You could choose to queue as a leader when choosing matchmaking. That person would have the power to boot uncooperative players. Now I could see where this system would be abused but there could be other systems to diminish this A mutiny system where the 5 other players could vote the abusive leader out with 3 or 4 out the the 5 votes You could require beating the raid 5 times before being able to queue as leader. What I'm getting at is that there are answers to all of the problems people have with matchmaking. It's just a matter of how these concerns are tackled.

  • The thing is that communication is a way of making it real and having teamwork. Think about without communication, you could need back up while at the left conflux but without mics, you can't ask before you die. Even if matchmaking did require mics so everyone could talk. What's to stop afks? Matchmaking prevents anyone from being the fireteam leader, so no one has the power to boot trolls, afks, or someone that just doesn't have the means(skill) to get the raid done. We already have that problem in strikes and the heroic, don't need it in raids too.
