Hey guys.
Just to let you know that due to some small message in (or thought to be in) your new trailer that apparantly reads "Wheres Maddie?" small but growing numbers of halo fanboys are posting stuff on websites related to the disapperance of a kid in the UK named Madaline McCann.
Now i dont know how well you know the UK press....but they can be, say...reactionary at best. Especially about Maddie. All it would take is a few more posts and you can be sure you'll end up in a few of the red tops....and i assure you it wont be favourable to the Bungie cause. They love a good anti-gaming story.
You may want to issue a statement to people telling them to calm down before the press get hold of it. About 24 hours i reckon.
Just thought i'd warn you :)
P.s Ask Frankie if you want to know more about the British press...i'm sure he's got some horror stories..
Posted by: xUberRyanx i have a better idea... just don't ship games to the UK anymore. Hence I don't have to hear some arrogant brit shoot off at the mouth, and Bungie won't have to worry about crazy bull-blam!- bad press.
Yes, do that and loose one of the largest development powerhouses in the world, as well as the huge profits raked in from us, angering millions and worsening our economy (even if it is a small sector, the entertainment industry still has a big impact). Although a sad story, this as im sure has no correlation. If they are slammed by the UK press (as im sure they will be because the original poster is right about the press in that part of the world) at best I think the Microsoft/Bungie attorneys can win a libel suit against the over zealous tabloids for making an issue of nothing.

>
>Reinitialize..... >What just happen?Bungie dont need to apologize, theyve done nothing wrong.I bet way more kids named John have been kidnapped than kids named Maddie.Since lukems basically told you what any person with a decent head on their shoulders would... no magazine or press is going to use that as "dirt" on Bungie. With that said, I personally think the English gaming community has a stick up it's arse half the time, with the insane amount of trash talk, and the constant complaining and -blam!-ing. Look, sorry this person is missing, but people go missing every day, it's a tragedy and all that. Yet if you're looking for an apology, don't expect one. So go ahead and write in your little school news paper that apparently Bush hates black people, and Bungie hates the british. It's just plain asinine to even bother with. How you could even make that connection between the two is the biggest crock of horse-blam!- ever. You're just looking for attention, and honestly, no one really cares. [Edited on 09.25.2008 11:04 AM PDT]You didn't know? Bungie had Maddie all along, she's their new ban hammer. Is Maddie possibly Linda ?the british press just love a fat juicy story, and this is what they want. Cant be helped.
