The main character give a little girl a pda with recordings of an Elite squads conversation "we need to clear this area before we can secure acces to the Ark".

Unless New Mombasa had REALLY dirty toilets, I can't see why the SI would be communicating with a SPARTAN, but you never know with Bungie. I still say AI, but you have an interesting alternative.

Yeah, I agree, but it's faint. Captain DARE, dousent sound very plauseble even though it is mentioned. But who knows? Btw, who is the Admiral, are you talking about Lord Hood?

Ahh, my bad, sorry about that. I get really agitated when people wont read whats already been said then when they spot something, like the "Maddie, Where are you?" part in the video its the most important find since fire.

Yeah, I'm saying that DARE has requisitioned a squad of ODSTs and is in direct command of them on the ground, or he commands them remotely and you play as the NCO he mentioned.

Did nobody read my post? None of the evidence points to this. If we play as Captain DARE because we heard him, then we would play as the Admiral as well. It's gonna be high up in the food chain. All the evidence points to ODSTs. The drop pods, the Get ready to drop slogan at the end. ODSTs matessss.

Maybe as an "easter egg" they'll put in someone from the second halo2 trailer ("Sir! Corporal Paraz, A company, cp is this way") . I think it will be some UNSC/ODST bloke or a ONI employee. Other then that is to early to tell. Holy -Blam!- You've just made a good point. I remember in the Halo 2 trailer that you seemed to have smart AI team mates (one of them says in a very monotone voice "Hostiles right") and those were ODSTs I was very disappointed that this sequence of events wasn't featured in Halo 2 as it appeared in the trailer, and the team mechanic was basically the same as in Halo. My money's on Captain DARE as a main character, either fighting on the ground, or being the voice in your ear giving you intel and orders (fulfilling the role of Cortana for the Chief). The latter is more likely if DARE is an ONI spook, but you never know.

Reckon its gonna be ODSTs. Those are ODST pods dropping right before the Covenant ship jumps to slipspace. Theres a lone pod that lands after the destruction, my guess is this is who we will play as. And, it says "get ready to DROP" in the trailer. ODSTs are known for their dropping out of orbiting ships into planetary atmosphere, hence the motto "Feet first into hell"

[/quote] That was actualy one of the best presumptions iv'e heard, sure hope so. It fits right in with the Halo universe from my point of view.
