If Bungie want to get player respect and lulz, they'll have a normal, standard vandal, with a boss health bar, and call him "Randal, The Vandal." The battle would just be a gruelling, no strategy battle in an open arena against a vandal with godly amounts of health, add defence and that solar damage shotgun. Who would like that?
