I was living in Texas, preparing for my 13th birthday, middle school (starts in 7th here for some odd reason), and finding love among the Spanish speaking beautiful women of McAllen. Oh yes.. playing Halo CE, Americas Army, Command and Conquer: Generals, Age of Mythology, and so many other good titles.

Who keeps bringing this back?
-
Now in ten years people will be looking back at us reacting to ten year old posts.
-
This was made about a year after Bazooka Tooth came out. God bless the internet.

Edited by car15: 10/28/2014 7:56:55 AMDamn. I was twelve when this was written. Those were different times. Everyone still thought Halo 2 would be about defending Earth from a full-scale Covenant invasion. Xbox Live was still new and broadband was too expensive for many people. Doom 3 and Escape from Butcher Bay represented the cutting-edge of video game graphics. The Internet was a very different place back then. Bungie.net still looked like this. There was no Reddit. 4chan was less than a year old and Anonymous didn't really exist yet. Facebook was a niche site for Ivy League college students and MySpace was still a few months away from taking off. Blogs and personal websites were still very common. Geocities and Angelfire were popular platforms and you saw them a lot. Message boards were the primary means of Internet discussion. Plus, Blockbuster was still around, McDonald's served Salad Shakers, and the radio was dominated by bands like Hoobastank, Good Charlotte, and Yellowcard. (It was an awkward transition period from nu-metal to emo. Thankfully, it was short-lived. Let us never speak of it again.)
