Faction Shaders SHOULD be purchasable!
I'm level 18 in New Monarchy and still no shader... Do you know how stressful it is to waste all my time and effort for some unneeded ascendant materials or some clothing that's not even for my class? I just want a red coat for my warlock. Many warlocks are seen wearing red in the trailers. Is that so much to ask for? Instead of making them extremely rare, why not just make them unlockable at a high level? Level 10, 15 or 20?

It should be a very high if there would be a level at which you can purchase faction shaders. 30 or 40+. Shaders are the last thing that really distinguish guardians at this point. If you really want Revenant, Amalthea, Carthage 0100 or any of the Faction shaders, you SHOULD have to grind for them like everything else in this game. It is definitely easier to get an exotic than a faction shader, which is fine by me. At least you use weapons and armor for specific reasons. Shaders don't impact play style, light level, or anything other than looks and ego. If you're going to chase something forever in Destiny, be happy it isn't something that could actually help you out in game. That said, I've been insanely lucky with FWC (3 Shaders) and have received no shaders in nearly 20 levels of DO. Someone I know took about 40 to get a DO shader. That's just how it is. It makes getting one that much sweeter and prevents them from being as common as raid gear/exotics which is a very common complaint.
