To Guardians with Jobs...
Is there someone at your place of Employment that you can talk about Destiny with?
I work at an Asphalt and Cutback Plant and the only person I can talk Destiny with is a 54 year old Trucker that comes in now and then.
Excited to hear what fellow Guardians have to say.
Edit: Got off Work at 6:30cst and we were at a little over 60 replies. I wake up and we're close to 200. :D
Edit: I find it Cool that so many White Collar works actually play. Keep the stories coming.

1 ReplyA friend of mine works at a local bicycle store. One day I went in there to buy a frizzbee for disc golf, as they sell those as well. As I was walking outside after making my purchase, I saw two kids checkout out the bikes that were on display out front. One of the little nerds said and I quote "Think they'd mind if we took their bikes". He even said it in the dainty ghost voice lol... I absolutely lost it.

I was actually very casual until I hired my current assistant manager in November. He ran me through Atheon my first time and I was hooked.

46 no one that I come in contact with at work plays one friend of my college age daughter plays but that is it. I never grew up not good at all in crucible he said he will help to finish some of the exotic bounties I have but I love this game and am glad some of us older guys still play.

I am fortunate to work with my brother. We chat about Destiny every chance we get.

1 ReplyI dig a lot at work and my cousin who I work with plays destiny also. I told him if only we had an exotic shovel this would be easier. We called it the average joe. Perks include a beer dispenser and kickstand for extra lean support when we're slacking off. ;) we get very bored

My coworker actually got me into Destiny. He's in IT, I'm in Immunogenetics.

1 ReplyAt work nobody knows what a Xbox looks like. I'm 48 years old and I have absolutely no friend to play with. But I think I may be the happiest and luckiest of them all, playing games since Pong :)

I work as diesel/hydraulic mechanic for grandpa's business with an uncle, a guy ten years my senior and one ten years my junior. Younger dude plays but hates the game and I'm pretty sure when I talk about it and I try not to annoy the older fellas w any talk of "God-blammed video games," but some days just can't help myself. Hell, sometimes it annoys ME how much Destiny lingers around in my brain :)

1 ReplyTheres only one guy who plays as well as me, but he gets too into talking about it. Dont get me wrong, i love video games and will definitely brag about awesome shit ive pulled off, but only to the right people. This guy acts like its his life, never shuts up about it. Kinda mad at myself for telling him i play video games lol.

I work in public safety. There are about 5 ppl that I work with that I play and raid with and some are in my clan and one of them is even my boss. Lol.

Other that my Skyrim buddy the only other person at work that's into games had to pawn all his stuff to pay for some poor life choices. So he gets bummed out when we talk about Video games.

I'm lucky to work in a kitchen where many of my coworkers play. We're able to talk Destiny so long as we get the job done of course. I'm grateful!

I actually got 5 or 6 people into destiny where I work so mo matter what shift I work we can always talk about saving the universe.

Xur is not a nice guy. I asked her if she was talking about destiny and she said yes. I'm quite impressed that a lady of her age plays a hardcore game like that. She also has a lvl 31 character. Blew my mind.

My cube mate plays on a different system, so we can talk about the game, but can't sync up online.

Yeah actually an employee of mine plays pretty HC an he works two jobs. Whenever he's working with me that's all we talk about is Xur an our exotics we're going for.

I work at a supply/distributor company with four other people. Two don't even know how to send a picture via email let alone have the desire to play a video game. Granted, I'm 23 and they're in their fifties but...it'd certainly be nice to be able to talk to someone about Destiny. I usually get on Facebook and talk to the military Ranger I met from LFG to rant/trade raid stories lol

I don't have any rl friends left that still play games, but I can talk games with one of my coworkers. We're on different consoles, but it's great to be able to talk to someone that understands my choice of entertainment.

I work at a restaurant and a couple of the cooks play, so we talk. They seem more casual though, whereas I play all 3 characters, they only have 1 and haven't reached 32 yet >_<
