If you were to see someone whom you know in an area... Let it be a party, school, mall, or work place... Who seems lonely and uncomfortable in their position what would you do?
If you guys could also put your gender, race, and age down below I would very much appreciate it... Thank you
Should probably mention that this is for a school project... Thanks again everyone

I selected the wave hello and carry on option. I'm pretty socially awkward myself and prefer to be alone so I don't strike up conversations with random people on a regular basis. Female, white, 24

I would go and have surprise buttsecks with them.
-
I want you to know the majority of people will say join them, but wouldn't in real life. Look at real life, and all the lonely people. If 50% of people really cared that much, the world would be a much better place.

Go and have a poo

We have determined that 68.4% do not perform the actions they had voted for.

I'd ask them to join my friends and I, as long as they are courteous to us then they can stay but if they disrespect my friends in anyway I'll have them leave. For example in my senior class some of us "early graduated" and one of member of our senior class was left alone cause her group so one of our friends invited her to join us, that day she started saying that my friend M and I were talking shit about R which started an argument between R and I because he gets defensive and physical. Needless to say she never hungout with us again but the subject still comes up. None the less even if one person damaged one of my friendship I wouldn't hesitate to invite someone to join us. 18 Male Hispanic TEXAS/Cali (will that help?)

Really depends on who it is.

Most people would say join them and start a conversation and then ignore them for fear of being associated with them and then somehow lessened in the eyes of others. I have had my moments of pride in this regard but I have been your everyday regular douche as well. I challenge the people in this forum to be kind to outcasts.

-blam!- him

Feel bad but not really do anything

Join them and be uncomfortable together. Male

White, male, 22. I'd join them and start a conversation. I know what it's like to be the awkward guy in a corner in social settings. Still am.
-
why is flamethrower not an option
-
Depends do I get to be drunk/high? If not I'd probably feel sympathy for them but do nothing because of my social anxiety. Perhaps I still would do something if I made eye contact. 20 white male

Prob talk to them. 18 White Female

I'm shy so I wouldn't start a conversation but I would feel sympathy.
-
Master race (white) 18 Male Id go talk to them
-
I surprise myself sometimes when it comes to making people feel welcome, giving them my ears, and including them. I don't know what I'd do until I'm in that situation, but based on past experiences, there's a decent chance I'd interact with them. 18 Male Caucasian

Start a conversation. Male Hispanic 23

That depends on how well I know them. If they're someone I genuinely consider a friend, i'd probably go talk to them. Anything less i'd probably just keep walking along my merry way, wave and say hello if they notice me as I pass. Gender: Male Race: White Age: 20
