Crucible Game-type Ideas

Ever since I hit the endgame with PvE I've delved into PvP a whole lot more. Since launch I probably put in around 1000 hours. For fact checkers, my characters won't show that as I've had 7 different characters. In crucible I average a 1.48 k/d which is not all great by any means. Destiny "could" have the greatest pvp in a fps game. It has so many different feels for every type of player. What I believe the crucible is lacking is the variety of game types. Every crucible playlist is a team slayer/deathmatch variant. As team slayer is my favorite game type, they need way more variety. And what better place to come up with new game types, since there is no forge, then on the good ol' forums? Here is a couple of game types I've thought of. If you have any ideas post them here. [b]basic training[/b] -Everyone only has khustov as weaponry -nothing filled in your subclass perk tree -all white gear with no perks [b]master of arms[/b] -rumble -every player gets a random primary white weapon as start. After a kill, another random secondary white weapon. After a kill with that you now get a random white heavy. -Continue this up the tiers of weapons. (White, green, blue, purple, yellow) -final kill is with class super. [b]capture the flag[/b] -pretty self explanatory -change control points A & C to team flags. [b]Game of Crota[/b] -similar to griffball from halo. -make a court with a bomb and two detonation points. -give everyone a sword of crota -make bomb carrier have over shield and movement speed buffed.

  • Oh my god I hated griffball. I could just never get the hang of it. One gamemode I loved however was/is neutral flag. I wouldn't mind seeing a version of that in Destiny. (^∇^)

    • I wouldn't mind master of arms where you always have a random load out so long as the weapon choices and perks are balanced out. Nothing that's outrageous
