Question about Xur
Ok i know i'm going to get hate. Listen to me for a moment. I bought [i]Red Death[/i] I love it and i'm almost at it's signature perk. Now i go on the forums and ask who has bought this gun and all i see his butthurt people complaining about xur selling it. It's unbelievable. Now hold up, this community wanted xur to sell red death, jelly horn and stuff like that. But when Xur sells it you get pissy.

If you bought it from xur then you earned it. You use strange coins which you earn so in theory you earned anything bought with strange coins.

Bob 1 went and did work serval times a week to get a lotto ticket to have a small chance of winning anything, let alone the red death he wanted. Bob 1 worked for about a month to score his via the working and getting tickets. Rob also worked, and did a lot of the same works. But instead of only relying on the lotto, he work on getting money just in case Xur sold it. One day Xur sold it, and he took those coins he earned to buy red death. Rob got his in 2 weeks So did rob not earn it because he did all the same work, but in less time and instead improved his odds by having coins on hand? Or was bob 1 the only one to earn it because he won it via a random chance? Personally, i don't care i had to buy it, I'm just happy i got it. I'm not picky with how i get good stuff, just as long as i get what i want sooner or later.

Tom buys a lottery ticket and wins the car. So who earned it? These people who are whining are toms. And they say that they got it the hard way and put more effort into it. Half of them who complain are the ones who bought something from Xur before and are mad that anyone else would buy it, too. I already had a Red Death but I bought another one. They're good to have. I don't care if you "earned it" or "Xurned it" since it's a game and I don't take it that seriously. I personally think the only thing in the game that counts as rare are the exotics you have to do a bounty for since you actually have to work hard for those. It's not something you can get from Xur or RNG.

1 ReplyYeah that happens lol I used to hate that Xur sold exotics in general because it "cheapens" the value of an exotic if everyone has it. However, recently my mind has changed and my stance is that it evens the playing field. If Xur ever rolls a ghorn, the community would lose their mind. Can't wait for that day lol. I know I would appreciate it, since I missed the first and last time he sold it because I figured it would re-roll. But there's plenty of alternate options.

1 ReplyBecause whiny, petulant children who think RNG only blesses real players. Deej himself wrote a post declaring that strange coins are earned. In fact, they are the only way to actually earn a weapon since you are guaranteed sc for doing the weekly heroics.
