None of the above.
Some of the crucible-oriented FRs needed to be toned down... But Bungie went too far.... Making shotguns even [i]more[/i] prevalent despite their nerf. Don't have to shoot people from long range if they can't kill ya before you can run up and shoot them at [i]close[/i] range.
Bungie need to rollback the FR nerf to midway between where they were and where they are now. Plus they need to seriously [i]buff[/i] the SMG-like ARs like Atheon's Epilogue and Unwilling Soul.
That class of AR got nerfed batted into unconsciousness.

Thank you for thinking critically about it! Your idea is something I could get behind. I think Fusion Rifles would still have a place if they were somewhere in the middle of where they are now and where they used to be. That might actually be the best way to do it. And I agree with the AR nerf as well. The fast firing ones were already pretty bad before hand. They gotta buff those ones a little bit.
