Really Bungie? REALLY!!!!!
I just spent the past 2 days completing VOG for the first time! 2 days! I'm a level 26 Warlock and what did I get for my time? A shader! Yep... a flpping SHADER!
I'm a mother of 3 in my mid 30's and trust me my gaming time is precious! So is my money... I purchased the expansion pack on day 1... not knowing that if I wasn't a pimply college kid living off daddy's money with 20 hrs per week to devote to this game, that half of the expansion pack would be locked out because I'm not a high enough level to play it!
Yeah, I know you got my $95 already so boo-hoo, right? Well shame on Bungie! Shame on YOU!

Beating eris' quests give you a pair of gloves that are light level 33 if you can do nightfalls this will give you a 25% boost to all experience for the week, do weekly heroics on lvl 28 (you will need help) and you will get 6 strange coins, collect strange coins to purchase helmet from xur, he also gives helmet engrams for 23 motes of light from time to time! The exotic armor has light ratings of 36, the hardest armor to get out of a raid, which is where you will get your lvl 36 armor, is the chest piece and helmet, then buy a lvl 33 chest an boots from the vanguard. These have lvl 33 light ratings! If you do this and max out your armor you will be sitting around level 31-1/2! Good enough to do Crotas raid and get the rest of your level 36 armor! 4pieces of 36 armor= level 32! Hope this helps

VoG was not nice to me the fist five times I ran it. I still never got the helm. Did crota's end got helm chest and arms and black Hammer fist run. Just lvl up vanguard get there gear fast lvl to 31 and run crota. That's what I did with my hunter week and half 31. If you wanna do really good have two of the same class double chances for drops.

you best bet is grind to lvl 27 and get a friend that can carry you through crotas first 2 sections. then pray to RNGSUS to get a boots gloves and chest piece. then buy an Exotic helm from Xur and boom. yo will be at least lvl 30. Then rinse and repeat until you have enough radiant shards to get to lvl 32. That is how I did it. Note: Im a Father of 3 with Full time engineering Job. YOU CAN DO IT!!!!

1 ReplyYour time is no more valuable than anyone else's except to you. Gear up and play again next week. There are people who have played since day one and still don't even have fatebringer or even atheons epilogue. Everyone has a week or even weeks where all they get are shards and shaders. There are those with 700+ hours logged and don't have the ghorn. Or those who miss weekends and still don't have ice breaker. It sucks, believe me it sucks. But bungie doesn't care. They're not going to award anyone anything. They aren't going to change the system either.

Just run some strikes and grab a full set of vanguard gear. My fiancé doesn't play much and is a level 29. Grinding vault of glass for gear is a waste of time since the expansion. Get your vanguard gear then find some ppl to run Crota with for Crota raid gear. Feel free to add me or her if you are on ps4. Wickedrites1986 and arya_svitkona. I'm always helping ppl level up cause I have nothing to do but the share grind.

it sucks.. but it is what it is.. hell.. it took me 4 tries just to get the stupid shader.. before that.. just shards and energy.. my first few experiences with VOG was lackluster at best. the more time you put into it.. the more likely you'll finally get a decent drop. if you're on xbox one - id be happy to raid with ya.. should make things go a little smoother anyway. rng sucks.. but bungie isn't changing it anytime soon. which sucks.. but.. it is what it is.

CE is pretty lame ass in comparison. Vog is reasonably fun when teams cooperate. You can get 31 just by buying the vanguard gear and random exotic armour.

Get over yourself. I've run the vog a ton and only gotten material. It's not that uncommon. Still I went back to the raid every week because it was fun to play. If you're so set on gear how about you play some strikes, get marks, but legendary gear which will raise your level making the vault easier and opening up some more content.

Then whats the point of having common and rare stuff if evenyone can get it easily. Items are given at ramdom so keep trying. If this game frustrates you that much then i think its time to pick up a new game.

Agreed, other games that are more fun, cost less, and reward you for time spent. Dying Light (FING AWSOME!!!), Far Cry 4, Shadows of Mordor:). Don't forget to turn your Destiny CD this companies not but gonna rip you off forever hun.
