Um, latest and trending are completely different for me (using the app). Nothing in trending in #help has had a new reply for 27+ minutes

    Think of it this way: if you wanted to watch the "latest tv shows" from some listing you [u]would[/u] probably want to see shows that came out in the current season (probably which just aired in the current week); you would [u]not [/u]expect to see a list of shows people recently watched... because then it just might be the case someone just watched an episode of "mash" and so now "mash" is on the "latest tv show list" even though its original air date was 40 years ago.

    One List is based on Thumbs up and the other on Replies... naturally there is a high correlation between the two. Plus, its reasonable to use either "thumbs up" or "replies" as a proxy for "trending"... I visit the forum often so even though at a given moment you might see different lists, on the whole there is not as much new content as expected from a "latest" listing.
