E3 Announcement Shelved, For Now
No Internet, yanking the countdown timer yesterday was not a joke. We wish it was, though.

So does anyone else read other web sites? The reason why that Bungie coulndn't really make an announcement is because that Microsoft had so much stuff to show at E3 that Bungie didn't have enough time to make their announcement. The announcement is supposed to be a new Halo game, which I find funny btw. Anyways its not Microsofts fault that they're trying to be the #1 console and have to show their new toys. Hell their would be no Halo if their was no Microsoft. So everyone just grab a sticky and toss it on eachother and play the old Halo's till we get out NextGen one. And quit -blam!-ing about Microsoft if eveyone hates it so much, then go to Sony and waste your time and money their!!

If anyone paid attention to other web sites it'll tell you exactically what the announcement was supposed to be. I know what it is and it blew my freaking mind away. I heard rumors that they were done but their not. If you want to know what it is hit me up or have fun waiting.

Its sad to hear that the announcement was cancelled and there are probably some pretty legitamite and/or dumb reasons why it did, but in the end we all know that Bungie has another game that the world is soon gonna experience. I can't wait. Bungie hasn't made a bad game, ever. And I hope that there aren't anymore ignorant posts from dumb***es commenting on how horrible the games you make are. Which is completely not true. Your games are amazing. Those people need to go live in a world without Bungie games (aka Hell), and realize how much Bungie has contributed to the gaming industry. I hope this "dedicated" halo announcement the big "M" is speaking of is really something. It doesn't bother me so much I have to wait a little longer....its the waste of the viral campaign that was underway. I enjoy that %#*^ . And if this is just "part" of the viral campaign, then the jokes on me, and heck, I'll enjoy that too.

Please hurry! I need a new Halo game my friends aren’t sick of so they will stop playing Call Of Duty 4! An embarrassment of riches…?? r..i..g..h..t the new dashboard is soo cool just like my wii. And gears of war with a flame thrower and a gatling gun straight out of Halo 3… An embarrassment of Xbox fans! A new Halo game would have overshadowed everything else. If I was the “Publisher” I would have done the same thing.

I was watching E3 earlier and you know low on the screen E3 news then it said "Bungie was blocked from showing their new project per request of their publisher". Then it talked about Don Mattrick saying it was a new halo game etc. Then it said: "Microsoft is setting up a "special event" to announce the game". [Edited on 07.17.2008 10:48 AM PDT]

You know what I was thinking recently? It's completely and utterly rediculious that Microsoft gives the game "Lips" a full 10 minutes to show off that piece of crap and make us watch "duffys" horrible preformance. Ah so HERE'S the karma coming from FF13 going to 360. Oh, the cost of making Sony sad... Oh the hubris! What a lame move for Microsoft to make, though... They shove this announcement aside to save the glory for later? Yeaaaaaaaah. Because we're all WAY more excited and happy now. Pssh. Not to mention how totally and completely unfair it is to the bungie employees who spent all their time preparing for the announcement. Really a shame. But hey, at least we know it's a new game to the halo franchise, that's some info, right? I just hope it's not a series of turn based collectible card strategy games! Anyways, you have my condolences, Bungie. We'll be anxiously waiting here buzzing with rumor until the real announcement.

it's just really lame - nintendo and sony had such awfully lame announcements and press conferences at E3 following Microsoft's monster conference that Microsoft didn't want it's big game company to go ahead and unveil it's ace in the hole just incase they needed more to smash the competition, because they didn't need it, they don't want to throw it out there yet... it was really poorly handled tho, having bungie gear up to unleash the news and then squashing it... booo
