Hot topic
This new store opened up in the mall and my friends were talking about it,I go and see it and it is a goth place everyone around was wearing some kinda cape or something stupid lookind,A new era in my town Goth Age DumDumDum

Counter Culture is an industry in itself, aesthetic social statements are nothing more than advertisements. Selling a shirt is no different than selling a suit. There are no 'deeper' implications, or business practices. It's just selling another image, to people who will buy into it. Superficial would be the key word. I have something to say. I used to be a goth/ punk person (which is odd for an Asian dude). And I tell you it is ****ING depressing. Wearing nothing but black will cause you some serious depression modes. There were so many times where I wanted to hurt myself. But you want to know what I noticed? Not many "normal" girls like me. I began to think that it was because of the way I dressed. So, I changed it. Guess what? I saw a social status inprovement. I began to make more friends, ect. But don't get me wrong. I'm not trying to bash goths/emos (slang for punk). I totally respect their point of view and the way that they dress considering that I have been there. However, I admit, it is depressing to see someone wearing nothing but black.

I have had one for about 3 years. I go there alot. It is a good store. About 60% of my school is gothic. I'm not though, but some of my friends are. No capes either for them.
