Having had time to reflect on the matter, I think that the Legendary Edition is going to kick ass. It would most certainly have been controversial if they had only ONE version of the game, and that it was the Legendary Edition, but they have three. If you're not willing to shell out $130.00, then by no means do you have to. [Edited on 07.07.2007 1:49 PM PDT]

My friend Kyle, or Deznuts42 on XBL had the Beta, Found his way into a custom game, and unplugged his XBL. Now I wasn't expecting this to work, but it did. Now he just plays XBL on his Xbox, and Halo 3 matches with his friends on the 360.

I guess I;ll have to change my reserved copy to the collector's edition cause I want the book. A DVD is nice, but a nice hardbound picture book is really nice. And I just don't think you get all that much for $130. Kinda a ripoff. DVDs wear over years, books last way longer......

What the fux up with this!!! The legendary version is a RIP OFF Bottom line don't get it. Its just a video game guys. I know some of us are major collectors but come on we sometimes forget that its just a game built for entertainment sheesh. Just get the one in the collectors tin guys. Its a lot better deal. agh! The more of these updates I read, the more I want summer to be over to get Halo 3! It's starting to eat away my sanity! I'm really looking forward to the campaign. I've always loved coming out of the "eat-each-others-face-off" multilayer and playing a nice run through of the Halo 1 or 2 campaign (1 more than 2). Hopefully the online coop will come through in the final version. If it does, I'll probably be seen playing that more than the multilayer. I hope more is released on the customizable armor. I haven't seen what was on gamepro, I haven't subscribed or seen any on the shelves :'( . Is there any way to see what was on the magazine on the web? Or see just the armor types on the web?

Alas, the beta has ended, but the road to completion for Halo 3 is still there, if only more of a small street now. Thanks you guys, and gals, who made the beta possible, it was lots of fun, and it was only a small, unreferbished version of the final game, so I'm confident the final game will be extremely awesome! Thanks again!
