yeah........... it's not working........... so..... you launch the beta - then immediately push up on D-pad and hold down A? Is that push up and hold or push up and let go? Also..... when the Bungie logo comes on do you let go? Please to clarify because am reeeeeeaaaaallllyyy frustrated seeing as I didn't get to play that much yet.........

What's odd is that I paid 60 bucks for Crackdown, as opposed to renting first before buying it with my hard earned cash, so I could download the H3 beta, got up at 0500 this morning to download the beta, and here it is 14 hours later and it's STILL screwed up and not downloading. Too bad Bungie has so few friends and family and/or too bad the paying customer doesn't rate. Must be nice to be special enough to get the beta without having to plunk down your hard earned money! /prefer Gouda cheeze with my whine!

Anybody have some word of wisdom? [/quote] Well I finally got my text back after random messing around. First I went to the Systems Tab and then to Memory followed by selecting my HDD and pushed Y. After that I pushed X X LB RB XX which clears your entire HDD cache and removes all the latest updates from all your games. (Which I've done before) Then I loaded up Halo 3 Beta and when it asked to Update, I said no and went through all the junk and tried to play multiplayer but obviously failed. Finally I quit back to the dashboard via the Halo 3 Multiplayer main menu and just loaded Halo 3 Beta again and this time updated it without any problem. Weird I guess, heh. Maybe it'll work for you, maybe not. Could have been stupid random luck on my part too. :P

@ slygh Go to Account Management under the Marketplace tab and then Recent Downloads (or is it called Download History?). You should see your F&F Beta download there. [Edited on 05.16.2007 12:35 PM PDT]

what about an update that explains why there are so many people that recieved their emails congratulating them on being allowed to participate in the Halo 3 Beta in the RO3 and then simply not recieving their activation codes. Its now 3.31 eastern time in the States and no email with the code.

WTF...... I thought it was a problem with the "mini"update and tried rebooting it and it went completely screwed. So I deleted it thinking I can just download it again and carry on, but it won't accept my code anymore. Next you implement -blam!- like that.... try giving us some prewarning?? You have our email addresses?!?!? Can you reactivate my Friends and Family Redeem code or give me a fresh one please??

Obviously I'm doing something wrong in order to make the text re-appear. I hit up on the D-Pad once and then proceed to hold down A until the Bungie logo appears. I've done this dozens of times and even rebooted my 360 for each time with absolutely no luck. I've even cleared the HDD cache manually and when I re-download the update the text still doesn't show. Can someone who actually got the fix to work tell me where they exactly did the whole D-Pad/A Button thing and then let go of the A Button? Guess I'll keep trying in the mean time.

Thank God. I was getting sick and tired of playing Team Slayer in Skirmish, I mean whats the freaking point of allocating it its own playlist if you get it in skirmish?! If I want to play the gametype, ill choose the playlist.

So... theres no point on keeping my vids beacuse i cant upload them anymore? BS! Can somebody tell me if theres a way to pass them to my computer. Or theres no way and if i want to do a montage i need a capture card.
