Ugly people get raised fundamentally different

When you grew up your parents could foresee your beta destiny so because they loved you so much that they didn't want you to hurt so they told you all these half-lies about equality and beauty is on the inside and America and this and that and that is what -blam!- you up insecurity wise. Sooner or later you had to wake up and it hurt more than ever so you unconsciously solidified all those equalitarianism beta ideals and re-affirmed them with a vengeance. It got to a point where you hate people who are natural alphas because your whole life you have been taught to not compete in something that would hurt you. When you finally turned 16 and realized Cindy didn't want to go to the ball with you you started to harden inside. But it was your parents that gave you the fuel for your insecurity by trying to invent things about society that weren't there as to protect your wounded lil heart. Just a theory I have inb4 mass butt hurt and mass denial

 • Wouldn't it be funny if another species somewhere would find us completely disgusting? Mouths on their faces? With hard objects that grow in to chew? fracking gross! I sometimes look at people including myself and think that to something else we would look like nightmare fuel, something completely surreal.

So this isn't even taking into account personality or anything. Just pictures of people.
I can't remember the exact study, either, but I know which one you are talking about. I have an associates in Psychology. :)
Thanks for vouchering for me, I'm not making it up :D
There was also a study that showed people were more likely to attribute positive personality traits to attractive people(i.e halo effect).
Yup. I also remember the one where most people attributed negative qualities to black people more-so than any other race.

I just don't understand why people like this.

 • You know i read that if our babys came out ugly the new cute would be ugly. I don't know if thats true, i already find babys disturbing looking, but it a good example of how our minds work. Why pay so much attention to instincts of what to like based on facial features our mind finds attractive rather than our own thoughts of who that person is and what they stand for.

Humans are wired psychologically to find certain facial features attractive and others not so much. While personality plays a part in overall attractiveness and the longevity of a relationship, it doesn't mean one is not physically attractive. When a guy claims that a clearly attractive woman is "ugly" he is usually disagreeing for the sake of disagreeing. It's a bit different for women as they take more into consideration when assessing a man but that's a different topic. People can't really shy away from the reality of physical attraction. But since it is the 21st century a lot of other variables do play a part. Wealth is important but so is personality. It's common knowledge that even a decent looking woman can glide by in life on her looks, though. That's reality. Love it or hate it.
I wish I had the actual study with me but basically the gist was, they showed pictures of different people and participants were told to choose the more attractive ones, and the participants pretty much chose the same people pretty consistently even though these involved different population groups across the world. • Less attractive people are treated differently by everyone, not just their parents. You could say the same about any group however.

What some people consider beautiful, others may consider ugly. Hollywood has scarred the true meaning of "beauty".
