With the reveal of Destiny info I noticed that the first page of the septagon was filled with destiny related threads (no surprise there) rather than the usual stuff. Not to mention the activity was relatively high.
I haven't seen something like that happen since the historic fiction contest and realized that when the darkness will be officially over the forums will be very active. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad that info has been released but also a bit sad that things are going to get lively again since I've become attached to the slow-moving pace of things.
Certainly throughout my B.net career I shall remember the darkness and the mail sack that came with it. At times I'll certainly wish things are at the slow-moving pace they were two days ago.
to my TL;DR brothers : Will you miss the darkness?

There are things that were unique about the last many months. But I am ready for the excitement that comes from a build up before the next Bungie launch.
Posted by: crawlingshadow9 It has been far too long, the light must return to us. I still hope that DeeJ still does Mail Sacks after the Darkness has ended though. But I suppose I'll miss spending time on these forums with all of you guys, the true Septagon. It's time for the light, and for a lot of fresh faced of n00bs. But I'm glad to have spent these dark times with you, my friends, and I will continue to go on this Great Journey with you as we ride Forward Unto Dawn. >.> <.< See what I did there?
What you did there, I see it. OT: I won't miss the Darkness that much but I have enjoyed this period regardless of the forum activity. This Darkness has provided us with some time to know each other and the loyal Bungie fans.

dont mix that with this. this is way better.
Posted by: EAGLES5 Is not the first darkness some of have faced. Wont be the last. Its all apart of being a loyal member. That being said, I am happy this one is over.
Whoever said it's darkest just before the dawn was a liar. It's darkest all the time!

Not really, like a lot of people I'm ready for the BWU to return.
-
Definitely not. Having nothing to talk about made the community in general quite boring.
-
Looks like we are on the move! I'll miss it :(
Posted by: Dont pass gass You think darkness is your ally...
lol, i knew someone would do that.

I will miss...the, how should I say, intimacy of these loyal members. We will probably be dragged apart in a chaotic new site full of excited youth members.

It's nice being able to follow things with the slower pace of the darkness, but I much prefer the updates and the liveliness they bring to the community.
-
Yeah I'm really going to miss people making crap threads just because they can and nothing else is on the front page.
-
For sure. It's definitely a chore to stay up to date on a lot of these things. And when new stuff comes, and the curtains are pulled back, so much speculation, so much information will be coming at us that we won't be able to catch it all. I remember when Reach was coming out, how much I tried to stay on top of every little thing, but I would miss something that EVERYBODY seemed to be talking about. A slow pace is good in that sense, that you're likely not to miss anything. But I'm much more active when we're not in the dark. And my inner 7 year old busts out.
-
No, i cant wait to have everything back to normal! Weekly updates and so on!
-
Nope. I miss the Weekly Updates and stuff, I'm looking forward to it again.

LOL OP are you serious? People complain about the darkness, and you ask if it will be missed? Who is gonna miss the abssence of Bungie? If you miss the darkness is like disliking Bungie for being active.
Posted by: ALI217 TL;DR
Not really long enough to warrant one mate. Anyways, I shall not. In this mail sack I asked when we would see a game release. I wasn't just joking. I was seriously getting a bit irritated at the lack of information. Hell, a teaser trailer would bide us for months most likely. But... darkness. It's not my favorite style. I shall be glad to see it go.

As the Muppets once said, "It's time to light the lights."
-
A candle was lit, but it's still dark.
