Halo 2 and Halo 3 multiplayers, do you want them back?

I miss them both. But I don't want 343 to bring back anniversary versions or remakes of them as they would end up butchering them like with CEA, and I think its a shameless money grab to wring more money out from Bungies hard work. I'd probably have been ok with CEA if 343 had the class to acknowledge Bungie and their efforts with more grace rather than pretending that Bungie had nothing to do with it. I mean the remake even lifted most of its assets from Reach (just like with H4 now I think about it).

Did anyone here actually play Halo 2 multiplayer? That thing was a glitchy, bug ridden, unbalanced piece of -blam!- with a netcode made by a walrus. [Edited on 11.14.2012 12:41 PM PST]

You can be shot out of vehicles far too easily now, too often I lose my warthog gunner no matter what I do. The Mantis is far too difficult to kill. The lack of weapons on map really skews gameplay, but I am sure a gametype for that will be made soon enough. It plays like Halo 3, but modified wrong in a few ways. I hope they can fix it and if they do more power to them, but at the moment the game is very broken.

Halo 2's MP was fun (mostly because it was the only AAA XBL game at the time), but it was so broken and half assed though. Bugs and glitches galore that broke the game were everywhere ^CEA was the lowest selling Halo game of all time with half of the sales of ODST. I wouldn't wait for a new remake to come out considering a H1 and H2 remake have the same demographic: teens blinded by nostalgia [Edited on 11.14.2012 12:32 PM PST]

Halo 2's campaign was the worst of the bunch imo.[/quote]I don't need a straight up, down to the last detail remake. Just asking that 343 does the best they possibly can to keep it true to its roots. My mind is geared towards bringing the matchmaking back to the console, a new one at that by 2014, and giving core Halo fans the one thing they want, while still allowing for new games to be made. There's no doubt that it would be a home run. It would finally put to rest a lot of frustration that has alienated a large portion of the fan base that doesn't like the current direction Halo MM has taken compared to years past.
