M'kay, I've been neglecting the forums recently, mostly because Halo 4 came out but also because I was building my Youtube channel and decided if I came here I would be un-able to stop myself from advertising it. (Search TheKillbox118 on YOUTUBE!!!!) See? I can't stop myself... XD
But one thing I've noticed is that it's always a huge argument about 343i VS Bungie. The 343i people keep saying stuff along the lines of, "Bungie abandoned Halo and Reach was trash," and the Bungie guys keep saying, "Bungie MADE Halo and 343i has broken almost everything that was good!"
No matter what the thread topic is on, it always ends like that. It's maddening, I think too many people are focused on what Halo was and has become. This is a Bungie forum, for Bungie games, if you want to discuss Halo, go to Waypoint and sift through all the threads about the overpowered DMR.
P.S.

Love it or hate it, Halo is on its own now. With former Bungie employees like Frank O'Connor and Vic DeLeon on board, you can say at least it has the tiniest bit of consistency. For it to be successful it will evolve, no matter what developer. I think bungie fans are the real winners here. Halo 4 has been getting favorable reviews, and has generally been well received by fans, even if it isn't the best in the franchise. Why are the bungie fans the winners? The halo franchise lives on AND bungie is free to create something new and awesome. Destiny awaits! ------ Personally, I have liked Halo 4 so far. I've enjoyed the online play more than Reach (but not as much as Halo 3). The campaign is different, but at least it doesn't have as many pinch-points as Halo 2.

I'm a Bungie fan, and I understand that the game has to evolve and some changes should be accepted and understandable.......That being said I feel like 343 ripped bungies touch from the franchise whilst branding they're modifications in. It's not the big things that are irritating to me in Halo 4, it's the little things, like not having the same basic controls as all the other Halo games. Or how they swapped out all the spree meddals, and actually changed every medal Icon, as well as getting rid of the Snipe Medal. My other big problem would be putting Icons on all pwer weapons around the map,I don't mind the randomly dropped ones, I mean the starting power weapons, AKA the Sniper and Ex. Other than that I don't have anything to complain about, I like the other things they've done, like the ordinance drops, the faster gameplay, I'm neutral on the kill cam but I do definitely like the quality and detail they out into the Campaign cutscenes and scenery.
Posted by: Mythical Wolf Not sure if advertisement for OPs YouTube channel or an actual post.
Actual Post, it was meant mostly as a joke. XD On another note, I actually do enjoy Halo 4, but I'll be honest, I'm looking forward to Bungie's next game a bit more then I was for H4. I'm pretty sure I'm more od a Bungie fan then Halo fan. But I still like playing the games. And I really enjoyed the campaign.

Yeh, people should stop fanboying companies because it just makes them biased.

I was really looking forward to Halo 4, sadly I just do not enjoy it as much as previous Halo games.

>Implying the two are mutually exclusive

I enjoy Halo 4 very much, and I do not feel as though I'm betraying Bungie. They are who began the saga, and they have since handed the torch to 343 Industries, and they did a fantastic job on Halo 4. There is no shame in enjoying Bungie's step-child. [Edited on 11.13.2012 9:56 PM PST]

Why do people feel like they're betraying Bungie if they enjoy Halo 4?

Exactly the point I'm trying to make, (I'm half aslee...fSvlsfdbdazazzzzzzzzzzzzz) You get what I mean. What I don't like about the Waypoint Forums is that they're too spamme right now. Too many people, you post something, it's at the top, you click refresh, it's gone. :(

Why can't you be a fan of both? I'm a fan of Bungie and their games, and I like Halo 4 so far. Sure, there are some things I don't like in Halo 4, but that doesn't make it a bad game overall. Same with Bungie and their games, there's stuff I don't like, but that doesn't make them bad games overall.
