The forums only make up a very small percentage of Halo 3 players. I would say Halo 3 has around 15,000 -30,000 players. I don't think it's as high as 50,000. Also, if people are coming on Halo 3 to 'warm up for Halo 4' then they've picked the wrong game. Halo Reach is the game you should be playing if you're 'warming up' for Halo 4.
