New Weapon or Vehicle

If you could add one weapon and/or vehicle to halo 2 from CE, 3, ODST, Reach, or your imagination what would it be. A more powerful concussion rifle to match shotgun A variant of specter that has a turret that shoots a red plasma mortar (like a revenant). Hornet. Augmented Scorpion which has a main gun and machine gun like original, but has two passenger seats instead of 4 and two grenade launchers (to replace the other passenger seats). Mongoose, because it was originally going to be in Halo 2, but they couldn't balance it in. True Elephant. Has twin guess cannons on its crane as a main gun (which is controlled by a gunner). It also has 5 machine gun turrets. 4 are detachable and one main one at the front. When driving, you can open or close the door or roof. Also has two rocket turrets that fire when you press the other trigger. Faster than the Halo 3 elephant. Holds weapon racks, one warthog, and two mongooses on the inside. EDIT: My topic looks hideous newest to oldest! [Edited on 11.11.2012 1:04 PM PST]

Oh I saw your pictures on your homepage and It looked like one of the elites was an Ultra. Was it Rtas or was I seeing it wrong?
Yep. Yep it was Rtas. He was the only Elite that survived the bottom platform, since he's invincible.

 •
Posted by: KaneXX12 Have you seen any of Ghost's videos? He made like a hundred Councilors in Halo 2 and unleashed them on Tartarus. I also have two questions about your councilor army. 1. How many survived? 2. How come you killed all the Zealots and Spec Ops and used only Councilors?
1. There were 40 sword Elites and 20 beam rifle Elites. All the beam rifle wielders survived, about 15 sword Elites survived. I think it's cheap how Tartarus can't be hurt by swords. Ruined the moment. 2. I killed the Zealots because keeping them makes the effects disappear and they can't get in a vehicle (so they stop more Elites from spawning). They would probably make the game lag on console. And they have very weak shields and rarely fire guns so they are essentially useless. They only look cool. I killed the Spec Ops Elites because I only wanted Councilors. Councilors are better to have around anyway. They can use any weapon and they have powerful shielding.

 • As for things done, discovered, or observed by other people: Tricking: -CE Tower 2 Tower -Grumpy's IWHBYD battle discovery of tricking the game into spawning more Ultras, Outskirts marine army, Great Journey AI & vehicle collecting (I learned from the best) -Rockslider's CE megabattles -CE Zealot beatdown on Legendary -Tsavo Highway marine army -bringing Johnson on the Hog to the end of Halo 3 level Halo -Terminal Velocity's Meta Stability 2.0 -Dr. Bizz's insane launches and corner slides (while being screwed by the game i.e. lack of checkpoints. I can't stand that kind of pressure) -Phantom flip launch to the top of Crow's Nest -bringing Chieftain to the end of Crow's Nest -8 Hunters in CE cutscene -CE clipping. I never bothered with vehicle piles. I liked it when I could just drive at the wall and get pushed through it. Strategy: -MisterMonopoli's Halo 2 LASO takedown (nearly SLASO!!) -Xlax007's skull tutorials (I also learned double grenade from him) -Rockslider's Legendary AotCR kill them all speedrun (showcases the potential of the plasma pistol and the outtakes have incredible grenade sticks) -Mator's CE Legendary melee only and vehicle sticks only approach -Halo 2 LASO practioners: womyfts, Wilis_kid, xlax007, Grumpy, MisterMonopoli, scurty, Aurasoldier -Multijirachi's The Ark Scarab boarding method -Pahat Pojat. Enough said AI: -Reach badass Ultra on Mythic TotS assaulting a Rocket Hog -Halo 3 Arbiter -Halo 3 Kamikaze Grunt train -Halo 2 rocket launcher Grunts -Halo 2 Honor Guard Councilor -CE Zealots, CE Hunters, any CE AI I blame how the AI have been turning out for the lack of 'AI doing their thing' footage that have impressed me. Hopefully Halo 4 will increase this list. [Edited on 10.10.2012 5:36 PM PDT]

 •
Posted by: Quantam
Posted by: Sliding Ghost
Posted by: Dark Hunter 2100
Posted by: Sliding Ghost
You seem to be one of those people who live by: "If you're going to think, think big".
I'm proud of it. I have big plans for Halo 4. Big crazy plans. I mean stuff like flying AA Wraith, flying Tank Form, super jumping Chieftain, jumping Carrier Form, half Flood, Hornet army, Elite Councilor army, bringing Zealots from the beginning to the end of a level on Legendary. Just about anything is in the realm of possibility in Halo games. It's only inhibited by lack of progression, unnecessary reverting, and plain sabotage and bias.
You know the games better than anyone else, what is the most amazing thing you have seen done in a Halo game?
Prepare for a long read... 1. Had to be the super jumping Chieftain, considering I never documented it on film, only encountered it twice, and the circumstances were very bizarre. First time: on The Covenant, Heroic difficulty, I get to the end of the 2nd bridge, he throws a spike grenade, I hide, then suddenly he jumps all the way to the start, dies from impact, then gets swarmed by a bunch of infection forms. Second time: on The Covenant, Easy difficulty, I get to the end of the 2nd bridge, Arby's fighting the Chieftain, I get a checkpoint, I keep running to the end of the 3rd bridge so I can spawn the other 3 Arby's, 4th Arby's being chased by the Chieftain, he disappears when the Chieftain is about to do his jump attack, the Chieftain super jumps, lands among the 4 Arbiters then gets assassinated. 2. flying Tank Form. My first thought was that this was a -blam!- miracle. And it was... because I could never reproduce it. For some reason, the Tank Form stops at a supply case. The other Tank Form doesn't mind him and hits the supply case, which hits the Tank Form and launches him. He goes through 2 Halo holograms using slide jumps and lands on a Brute bodyguard's head. Unfortunately, this is where he messes up. Instead of waiting for support from the other Tank Form (to attack the bodyguards), he goes through with the plan independently, regurgitating infection forms on the Brute then transferring and subsequently engaging the Chieftain. He gets thrashed. I had the chance to help him out but I was too shocked. In first person, I could see him flying!!! When I tried it again, I only managed to send him to the 3rd bridge. I bet it's possible to get him onto the crashed Pelican but it'd be difficult. 3. Flying AA Wraith. My first discovered glitch in Halo 3. I was on The Storm, I noticed the Scarab's leg crushing the TT Hog. I put an AA Wraith there, and after several tries and being sent flying (even splattering a Hornet), I end up finding a good position so I can get out and land on the Scarab. Unfortunately, the core's shield is invulnerable until the Scarab reaches it's destination. Still, this is the fastest way to get onto the Scarab and could be a good time saver in a speedrun (not to making it look extraordinary) if it were reliable. Eventually I learned how to deload the Scarab (yet continue the mission) using the position and how to launch into Earth's atmosphere but I didn't make it very far due to impact with the skybox. I discovered it independently, before I saw a similar video except the player was launched to the top of a building and used a different spot. 4. Half Flood. Even a B.net mod was surprised. I still remember my crap camera quality video. It was first done on Co-op and I initially suspected that it had to do with Arbiter since he teleported. I'd like to say that I actually noticed that the Flood disappeared at a certain spot, but really, the discovery was pure luck. This was my first time bringing Flood into the area. Of course, after discovering it, I kept revisiting it (on Solo) and refined my strategy, being able to bring allies (particularly Arbiter) with me and being able to get an semi-invincible enemy Elite who could use practically any weapon. My first product was a half Flood War Chieftain with a fuel rod gun and he was ignored by his former allies. My next products were half Flood War Chieftains with BR and Rocket launcher. Again, I discovered it independently, before I saw a similar video except the player's method was much more elaborate. 5. AI collections Elite army: I've always loved AI collections, ever since I saw Rockslider's videos. So you can imagine my surprise when I got a split army of 20 Spec Ops Elites and 20 Councilors. After which I orchestrated numerous battles with Tartarus, discovering that the Elites could pilot Banshees and attack him, that the Elites could attack me, Assassins made them very terrifying, that being in a Ghost was suicide, etc. Really worthwhile and interesting. 20 Councilors all jumped off the ledge like leaping gazelles and fell to their deaths... I also brought Tartarus on my Banshee to Johnson so the Elites could engage him on their territory. The Tartarus boss fight which was normally abomination became a center of fun activities. And all I needed was a Spectre and a Banshee. It was inconvenienced by lack of checkpoints, Tartarus' immense attack damage, Johnson's sniping which can kill Tartarus, the inability to return to Johnson's ledge if I went to Tartarus, how easy it is to fall off, how you can be assassinated by sword Elites, and how the Elites die if they land on the bottom platform. But nonetheless, it was worthwhile. Have you ever heard the war cry of 40+ berserking Councilors? It's very intimidating. Hornet army: Whereas the Hornet army had me hauling my ass off for hours and I could only manage to get around 25-27 before I got bored and tired. It was especially disappointing since all the Banshees disappeared! To The Hunt Heretic Horde: I discovered a small scale (around 25 Heretics) megabattle on The Arbiter. Was a pain collecting them (including the Heretic leader, since I wasn't able to sword lunge through the wall) and even fighting them but that all changed once I turned on skulls and introduced friendly AI (this was the main reason why it was such a pain) including the ones from the end of the level (total of 5 Elites, 2 Grunts, because I couldn't get the other 2 Grunts down without meleeing them which would have killed them). Modding made it even more interesting. Journey's End Last Stand: I brought all the marines and Elites from the third tower while collecting 19 out of 20 Brutes and got them to fight each other. Unfortunately, at least 15 of the Brutes get killed off when I got to the Hornets, so I couldn't get the 2 Scarabs involved. Chief vs. 33 Grunts: On Sierra 117, at the dam. Four Arbiters vs. Brutes: I simply took all the existing/known methods for Arbiter cloning and combined them. Then I refined them so the Arbiters spawned with their assigned weapons instead of Carbines, so that it was guaranteed they'd all spawn at the light bridge, and so certain Arbiters could not participate in the fight. It got further refining from BadCyborg once I presented my discoveries to him. There could have potentially been 5 or 6 Arbiters, as destroying the left AA Wraith after triggering the loading point causes a sword Arby to spawn (if you don't destroy it at all, he'll spawn when you return back outside after deactivating the tower). Halo 3 cutscene manipulation: Hunter vs. Arbiter in cutscene, dead cutscene Chief, floating Assault Rifle. I saw a screenshot which had a Hunter in the cutscene. It was done on Co-op. I wanted to do it on Solo. Using a bunch of deployable covers, I made it possible, got both of them up there. I also brought an arsenal of weapons and 2 Auto-Turrets. I was quite surprised when I saw cutscene Master Chief get killed by an Auto-Turret. But the most horrifying thing was: Chief was no longer on the ground but in an awkward pose, leaning and his AR was floating!!! GHOSTS!!!! 6. Two Betrayals Zealot to the end of the level on Legendary I hated the level but this was definitely worthwhile. Bringing down a Zealot on AotCR is suicidal. Bringing down a Zealot on Two Betrayals is an experience you can never forget. Doing it on Legendary brings out your wildest imagination. 7. impaled marine I brought 2 sword Elites down the Cairo Station elevator into the bomb room, I gathered other sword Elites in there then I pushed the hidden marine to the elevator door. It was pretty funny, seeing him standing there being clueless to the towering Elites that were right behind him. He eventually turned around, started crouching back then turned around and ran for his life (understandable). But the best part was when he decided to take cover against the bomb. He suddenly died... impaled by the giant pickle. Others: being splattered by a marine at mission start on Crow's Nest, spinning in a Mongoose while being assaulted by AA Wraiths, immobilized Scarab, pet Scarab, friendly Drones, lethargic Drones, enemy Arbiter endlessly looping teleport into the Hog turret and getting out, jumping Carrier Form, berserking Elites, berserking Arbiter, Floodgate sword Elites, stealthily assassinating 7 Brutes [Edited on 10.10.2012 5:19 PM PDT]
