I was born in '95 therefore I am a 90s kid.

t4r There is no disputing this fact. Why on Earth do all these nostalgia drones need to keep making threads on how everything sucks?

 • I was born in 87, does that make me an 80's or 90's kid? I'm confused.

 • I was born in 92 and I don't remember anything about the 90's besides the cartoons/TV shows, Fallout and Half-Life. To me the real 90's people are the people born in the early 80's. Why? Because they would remember more about the 90's and they were around for all of it. Unlike us 90's kids.

 • A 90's kid is someone who was a child/teenager throughout the 1990's who remebers and was apart of its pop culture! Im getting tired of 95, 96, 97 kids saying they remeber the ol 90's and were 90's kids, your not! I was born in 95 by the way. [Edited on 10.05.2012 3:35 AM PDT]

 •
Posted by: MyNameIsCharlie OH gawd...I feel ancient. I enlisted in the Army in 1994.
I was born in '85 and remember every day of the 90's. You know how little TV I watched? The most memorable moment from TV for me is The Save by Kirk McLean in the '94 Stanley Cup Playoffs against Calgary, in Overtime of Game 7 in round 1. It's the moment I truly became a Canuck fan and I still remember watching it when it happened. Cartoons are great, but the 90's cartoons were really nothing special.

 •
Posted by: Sector Z 157 90's kid when born in '95? Really At best you're a Noughties Kid [2000's]. You're basically considered a dependent baby until you're at least 5-7. If you disagree, consider Erikson's Theory of Psycho-Social Development. You are pretty much incapable of being an independent self, able to form your own interests and sense of self until you're around 5 years of age. That put's you at the year 2000 when you become AT LEAST, a person able to think [somewhat] for yourself. You can claim no more than being a 2000's kid who prefers the 90's trends. I can claim not better myself being born in '94. EDIT: I just wanted to address the claim that infants from 2-4 can develop "First interests". This is geared toward particular stimuli, as opposed to conscious awareness.
This makes sense. Where is your argument now OP?

 •
Posted by: HundredJono Because the 90s was the last great decade. The early 2000s up to about mid-2007 was great also.
LOL The '90s was the last great decade, but the early 2000s sucked ass. 9/11, Iraq War, federal spending, minor recession...

 • Some stuff on tv now is good... It's all this "boyfriend/girlfriend" crap that tv tries to shove down! "Zomg I must have a date for the prom!!!!!!" Disney went downhill... classic cartoons like mickey mouse get converted into toddler shows... And the shows meant for the pre-teen/teen audience is now a lot of stuff like "hannah montanna, pair of kings, suite life on deck" Only decent thing that I can think of that disney brought out in the past few years is Phineas and Ferb. And series that used to be cool seem over milked to me... I suppose that it's cool to young kids who are new to them and such but half of them I cringe to watch. I must admit though... I do like gravity falls... I shouldn't say it's all crap as there are some good cartoons. Phineas and Ferb Gravity Falls (that's all I can think of at the moment that doesn't fall under the term anime)

 • 90's kids had real people they looked up to... They didn't rely on video games to fill in the void of their absent parents. Although 90's kids were just a bunch of fat cartoon watchers, whereas 00's kids were just a bunch of fat video gamers, 80's were the best!!! Even though I'm technically a 90's-00's kid...

 • FLUD U KNEAD 2 STAHP. Really shouldn't be defined by your date of birth, but what YOU personally experienced. If you grew up watching early 90s shows but was born in '95 why can't you be a 90s kid Not that it really matters. [Edited on 10.04.2012 8:43 PM PDT]
