If being a regular attention whore is not enough for you, now there is a solution...
Facebook is now is testing a feature which allows users to promote their personal posts for a fee.
This may not be news to everyone, since the feature has already been tested in New Zealand and several other countries over the last few months. Still, what are your thoughts?

I can actually see this being ideal for people running businesses on Facebook. You'd have a better chance of catching more people's attention, and get more business. However for the regular person, I don't see how this would be really useful, unless you're one of those people who are like "Notice me! Notice me! NOTICE ME!!!!".

Good one facebook. I salute your amazing business schemes and the brilliantly ridiculous ways you receive money from your customers. Seriously, you guys are geniuses.

There is no aspect of Facebook I would be willing to pay for.

I remember back in 2009 when Facebook brought up membership fees and everyone flipped their -blam!- over it, now it's plagued with a[i]ds and everyone is still rectal-hurt over it... haha. Shouldapaidupsucka!!!
Posted by: Big Black Bear
Posted by: Endoterrik 13 I understand what they're trying to get at, but to me it seems like Facebook its trying to recoup some of the money for it's investors after their horrible losses after the IPO.
I thought this was pretty obvious. In fact, I don't think they've taken any steps at all to hide it.
What gets me is why would investors even think it was a good purchase at the IPO, there wasn't even really a plan on how to turn a profit with Facebook, other than with Ad saturation. Never seemed like it would produce a profit to me at least.
