Do you find this game's sniping easier then halo 3?

Halo CE Sniping was the hardest, as you had to lead your shots at long distances. We played BOARDING Action on CE a few months back, took about 30 mins fot the winner to get 25 kills. As we were so bad. We would normally reach 25 kills in under 5 mins, back when we played Halo CE. It was very funny. I believe every version of Halo, Sniping has become easier. But then the necode and everyone Internet has also gotten better, so this would improve sniping over xbox live. [Edited on 09.18.2012 7:44 PM PDT]

The hitbox is much larger in Reach than in Halo 3. So yes, sniping is significantly easier in Reach than Halo 3.

I've played around 15000 games total in Halo 3. In saying that, I've never been domed as much in Halo 3 as I am when I play Reach. In Halo 3 sometimes they dome you. In Reach they ALWAYS dome you. That means one of two things. Either there is a crap ton of pro snipers in Reach or the game is easier. I'll take the latter.

lol2007snipers I liked Halo 3's recoil mechanic, as it required more skill for follow up shots, but Reach's connection was far better, making sniping more fair.

I honestly think the Reach sniper is easier at first (when I am used to it) but when I have played H3 snipes for some hours/days I actually find it to be easier. So let us say I am used to both, then I think the H3 snipe is easier, IMO.

No, but the beta sniper rifle was definitely one of the more difficult versions I think since the recoil affected follow up shots.

Reach has it easy, but that's due in part to better netcode. The hit boxes are the gameplay reason as to why it's so easy for Reach.

[/quote] Yep, I shot a guy in Halo 3 on Narrows standing still 4 times in the head, reloaded then shot 4 times in the chest, he still didn't die. Blood splattered with every shot, but didn't die. I've always found H3's sniper to be easier than Reach's, and I've had practice with both. Reach's headshot's connect better, but lining up the shot, swipe-snipes, and no-scopes are a lot easier in H3 for me.
