There Was a Death in My Town

It was some kid that I kind of new, not well, or even at all really. I could recognize him essentially. Anyway, so this kid dies speeding around. I guess he had some thing for driving fast an running from the cops. He died doing it today. I'm putting up with all this R.I.P crap and "Why you? Why now?" stuff on Facebook and Twitter. While also reading painfully stupid things such as "People who say he deserved to die don't know him. He had a thing for going fast and running from the cops." My question to you flood is: is it worth insulting these people? Why do they feel bad for him? What if he collided with a family and killed them all or something?

 • If that happened to someone I knew, I would have no pity for them, they were reckless and it caught up with them. I wouldn't openly insult those in mourning though, that isn't right.

I would never say anything that could be potentially harmful to anyone who was close to the victim, or something that would just make me look like an ass. If you don't know the guy, and aren't bothered by his death, don't bother saying anything. If people followed the old saying "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all", when concerning the death of an individual, it could prevent further harm to people who are already mourning.
What he said, you know, if you don't care don't say anything.
I vey much so do care. These morons don't understand how dangerous this idiot was.
I wasn't saying that you didn't, I'm just putting that out there that if someone brings up a death people act like wise asses. There's no reason you need to advertise to the world that you don't care that somebody died.

 •
Posted by: Harbinger7 Someone who you don't know died in your town and you're mad because people who were close to him a mourning? wat
I think it's more of the fact people treat him as some sort of saint despite him willingly doing dangerous behavior and breaking the law.

 • I love speed. Hell, I have a car that can jet me from 0-60 in less then 5 seconds. But speeding around on public roads and running from cops is stupid. Plain and simple. He deserved his death, I hope he didn't hurt anyone or take anyone with him.

 • I very rarely find insulting someone justified, let alone those who have died or suffered a friend or family death.
