Personally I find it odd that there are so many people out there pining for the good old days of Halo CE when hardly nobody logs onto Xbox Connect anymore. I know the connection isn't the greatest but it's better than nothing. And if it became popular enough the proprietors might actually have a reason to improve it.

I just got XBC hooked up. There's only a couple of games at a time, most of which are lame people who only set up 2 on 2 slayer and will boot you if you are 5 or higher. I wish people were more friendly and encouraged others to play instead of being ingrates. I've tried hosting one myself but most people don't join, some complain they can't see it and ask me to "open ports" but I don't know what that means. Still, I hope as many people as possible get on. Add me on XBC: jascaseace

I just signed up for Xlink Kai, no one plays H:CE or Halo 2, unless you're in Latin America, but I can't get to those guys because it's not local or something.
Posted by: Tyrant Spud If you can find a good host it runs relatively smoothly. I played FFA on Midship tonight with five people and it ran just as well as Live. Like I said, it just depends on the host.
We're talking about the original Halo: Combat Evolved. Halo 2 works a lot better on Xbox Connect than Halo: Combat Evolved does. :P

CE... Midship... Guys, should we tell him?
Posted by: MrR46 It's not quite as laggy as Halo PC but it's still pretty awful. I can't play more than a few games in one sitting on either.
I wouldn't say it's not as laggy as Halo PC. It deals with lag in a different way. It's a personal preference when it comes to which is better. Halo PC runs smoothly in terms of lag. The only real problem with lag Halo PC has is the leading issue. Halo on Xbox Connect is very inconsistent and will freeze up on you from time to time when there's even a tiny lag spike. It also causes input delay. (As in lag between the time you pull the trigger and the bullet comes out.)
