I decided to make a thread when animators can post their 3D animations. I know there arn't many modelers and animators on this sight but hopefully there's enough to keep the thread alive.
I,ll start us off.
Posted by: Phoenix2640 these r done by hand, right? (no copy and paste i hope)
Posted by: Avatar Korra I'm taking a break from animation and i'm working on images.

That was made in Autodesk Maya, the contrast and blue was added in premier elements. I don't like people that cut/paste other peoples work and call it their own.
Posted by: Avatar Korra
Posted by: Plain Ben Now, I have no experience in animating in Maya or if any of my 'critique' is possible to try, but I've got years in 2D animation. The good points about it all is the animation is smooth, and the positions are realistic, the actions themselves are about right. The timings and speed aren't as much, have a look into movement spacing. (#2 is what you should be going for). Since it seems everything is the same slow speed in your animations, when in reality body parts move really fast, when you think about it.
Thanks, i've been trying to fix that and find a new way of rendering my animations. So far i'm done with a new animation, to me the movements are much better. Yeah, you're leaning a little towards the frame easing method with each animation you've done so far IMO, I wasn't sure if you were aware of the whole easing technique. I know it's 2D, but things like LF2 Master's Kick Demo helped me a lot when I started out.

Wow! Your animations are crazy awesome, but I would like to say that they feel slow... if that makes any sense.

I'd be really cool if you could make some dogfight scenes. If I recall correctly Lucas had his team watch
Sounds cool, i'll think about it. [Edited on 05.08.2012 4:35 PM PDT]
